Announcement for Applicants
--- The application process for the CFA Student Scholarship Program (for February 2021 exams) consists of three stages:
1. Submission of Online Application at CFA Official Website
2. Submission of Application to BRAC Business School (soft copy via email to [email protected]. No hard copy submission is required)
3. Participation in the BRAC Business School Selection Process

To apply for a CFA Program Student Scholarship, you must:
a) not be currently registered for a CFA Program exam;
b) be enrolled at an affiliated university;
c) satisfy the enrollment requirements detailed here:
https://www.cfainstitute.org/en/programs/cfa/charter
In addition to the abovementioned criteria, applicants who are currently in their undergraduate program must be in their final year of studies at the time of submitting the scholarship application form.
If you are selected for award, the Student Scholarship waives the one-time program enrollment fee, and discounts the exam registration fee to $350, which includes access to the curriculum and all available study materials.

Submission of Application to BRAC Business School
A rigorous selection process has been designed by the BRAC Business School (BBS) CFA Scholarship Selection Committee to identify the best candidates. In order to participate in the selection process, you are requested to fill in an application form. Students from the BBA, MBA, and BSS in Economics program, please fill in the appropriate application form to participate in the BRAC Business School Selection process. Applicants from other programs (i.e. Master of Science in Applied Economics) will be judged on a case-by-case basis; for application purposes, applicants from other programs are requested
to contact with Mr. Jubairul Islam Shaown (e-mail: [email protected]). It is to mention that copies of all the applications and other necessary documents can also be found in the buX account of any 4- level Finance and Accounting course.
The filled-in application form, along with the supporting documents as mentioned in the form, has to be mailed to Mr. Jubairul Islam Shaown, Lecturer, BRAC Business School (e-mail:
[email protected]). Submissions will be accepted till October 31, 2020.
Participation in the BRAC Business School Selection Process
Applicants will have to sit for a diagnostic test aimed at measuring the basic knowledge of finance, accounting, economics and statistics.
The details of the exam are as follows:
Date : November 6, 2020 (Friday)
Time : 4.00 PM – 5.30 PM
Venue : Online
Question Type : MCQ
Syllabus : Fundamental topics covered in:
1. Financial Management
2. Financial and Managerial Accounting 3. Micro- and Macro-Economics
4. Basic Statistics Major points with regards to the modality of the exam are:
1. The exam will be conducted using synchronous online media (live online exam)
2. During the exam, the applicants will have to keep their camera feed turned on so that the invigilators can administer the exam from the beginning till the end
3. It is advised that the applicants use quality internet connection for this 90-minute exam to ensure uninterrupted connectivity
4. The 90-minute exam will be divided into four parts. Each part will be 15 minute long with 10-minute break in-between two parts. So, the sequence would be 15 (exam)+10 (break)+15 (exam)+10 (break) + 15 (exam)+10 (break)+ 15 (exam)= 90 minutes
5. Minimum passing score for graduating to the next selection round is 50%
Based on the exam score, GPA of specified courses, and overall CGPA (criteria are explained in the next section), shortlisted applicants will be called for a 15-20 minute video interview. The applicants will be informed about the interview schedule and video platform later.
The final awardees will be selected based on interview performance, as well as, exam score, GPA of specified courses, and overall CGPA (criteria are explained in the next section); and they will receive a confirmation email directly from the CFA Institute.
Shortlisting Criteria for Interview
The shortlisting for interview will be based on the weighted scores of the following factors:
