The thesis was submitted to the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering as a partial fulfillment of the requirement for the Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and Electrical Engineering degree. This project/internship titled “Design and Analysis of Broadband Microstrip Antenna for High Speed WLAN” by Md. Submitted by Rakibul Islam ID to the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Daffodil International University, accepted as satisfactory in partial fulfillment of the requirement for a degree in Computer Science and Engineering and approved for style and content.

To obtain the degree, this thesis is submitted to Electrical and electronic engineering Department of Daffodil International University. I express my sincere thanks and obligation to my supervisor Md Ashraful Haque, Assistant Professor for his drive in this field of research, for his profitable guidance, support and warmth for the effective execution of this work. Shahid Ullah, Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering DIU for giving us the best offices in the Department and his favorable recommendations.

Organization of the Thesis

Antenna Characteristics

Daffodil International University 4 measured radiation patterns are a two-dimensional part of the three-dimensional pattern, in the horizontal or vertical plane. Gain is a parameter that estimates the directivity level of the radio wire radiation design. In particular, the receiving device gain, or the power addition of a radio wire, is characterized as the proportion of power (control per unit area) transmitted by the receiving wire in the direction of its most extreme output, at a self-aware separation, isolated by the force radiated by a theoretically isotropic receiving wire during a similar separation.

When the electromagnetic wave experiences different parts of the receiving wire system, a difference in impedance can occur. At each interface, depending on the impedance, some fraction of the essence of the wave will be reflected back to the source and form a standing wave in the supply line. The range of the most noteworthy capability of the minimum power in a wave can be evaluated and is known as the standing wave range (SWR).

The smaller the VSWR, the better the receiving device is coordinated with the transmission line and the more power is transferred to the radio wire. The first is obvious: more power is reflected from the receiving wire and thus not transmitted.

Characteristics of Basic Microstrip Patch Antenna

The efflux patch and the supply lines are generally scratched on the dielectric substrate. In order to streamline investigation and performance estimation, mostly square, rectangular, round, triangular and curved or other normal shape spots are used for structuring a microstrip receiving wire. For our situation, we go The fix is typically made of directional material, for example copper or gold and can take any imaginable to structure E-form fix receiving device based on its double-sounding properties that result in more extensive transmission speed.

The microstrip fix receiving devices arise mainly as a result of the boundary fields between the fix edge and the ground plane. For good performance of receiving wire, a thick dielectric substrate with low dielectric constant is fundamental as it gives higher transmission speed, better radiation and better skill. To reduce the size of the microstrip fix receiver, substrates with higher dielectric constants must be used, which are less efficient and result in slower transfer speeds.

As a result, an exchange between the receiving wire design and the radio wire measurements must be acknowledged. Micro strip fix receiving wires are mostly used in remote applications due to their location of safety structure.

Cavity model: Cavity support of the regular rectangular micros trip joint mechanical joint is proposed. In this window you can characterize essential parameters for the reproduction, for example dielectric consistency of different layers, units and format measurements and metal sorting among different parameters. The supporting microstrip line is a 50 Ω line, and the impedance of the receiving line is compounded to 50 Ω by using an inserted feed.

Daffodil International University 12 7) First we will draw a square shape of length 30 mm and width 21 mm. This vertex will by then be connected to the one in the lower left corner of the square shape drawn in the past development. The highlight will be dimmed and this square shape is selected; at this stage you can copy this thing,.

The outline of the thing to be stuck is drawn and when you move the mouse it will move. You can move the cursor to the point of gluing encourages and click the left buckle. In any case, the length of the microstrip line is practically zero and we need to increase it.

Move the mouse pointer near the bottom two vertices of the last drawn square shape and press the left mouse button. While the buckle is crushed, move the cursor and select the bottom two points of the microstrip feed square shape. Once the vertices are selected, they can be moved or deleted to change the overall state of the structure.

Since the two vertices are selected, you can move them and change the length of the supporting microstrip. Leave the rest of the fields unchanged at this point and after that I press the OK catch. In this window fundamental parameters of the relaxation, for example, the dielectric stability of various layers, the units and design measurements, and metal types between different parameters can be characterized by customers.

GHZ ANTENNA DESIGN

In this tutorial we are not concerned with the design of this antenna and will focus our attention on using IE3D to simulate the structure and obtain its parameters 1) At first I run the Zeland program manager. We will draw in the structure different stages as below in the continuation of the advancements. This simple course makes a square shape using the three vertices that have been entered starting now;.

It will be shown in reduction and this square shape is selected; at this stage you can duplicate this item, destroy it, move it and so on. It will be incorporated into boring and this square shape is picked; at this stage you can duplicate this article, delete it, move it and so on. Despite that, before that, let's work with the structure first; this work is used in the method of moment (MoM) estimation.
