Fouzia Akter Assistant Professor Department of Nutrition and Food Engineering, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, who had given me the opportunity to participate in the program. I am grateful to all my lecturers from the Department of Nutrition and Food Engineering, Daffodil International University for their help and encouragement during the study. We were in the Rohingya refugee camp for about a month with the aim of completing our internship in severe acute malnutrition management of infants and children.
And then tried to create a link to our textbook knowledge through the current facts about the Rohingya refugees in Cox's Bazar. The Rohingya are a stateless ethnic group, the majority of whom are Muslim, who have lived for centuries in predominantly Buddhist Myanmar. They claim that the Rohingya are Bengali immigrants who came to Myanmar in the 20th century.
Named one of the world's most persecuted minorities by the United Nations in 2013, the Rohingya are denied citizenship under Myanmar law.

If the child is diagnosed as SAM .. this has been done with both SAM & MAM child. If there were complications due to appetite, the child will be admitted. . & if not then will be released. Now the first job in OTP center is to find the SAM child from the community and then refer them to the OTP center.
After coming to the OTP center, they are sent to the meter for measuring their height, weight and their Z-score. The nurse sends them to the appetite testing department. It takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour for their appetite test. If the child has a complication after that, he will be sent to the SC center (stabilization center). If not and only has SAM, he will be admitted to the OTP center.
Upon admission, Amoxcaline & Albendazile these two medicines will be given to them. They will then be given a next date to visit the OTP center for their regular check-up. If the child has not recovered within those days, it counts as CNR (could not recover).

Details of MBA
At the MBA center, the counselor made a plan to give the session to the pregnant and lactating mother. Within half an hour after the birth of the child, the mother should give breast milk to her child. At (0-6) months a mother should not give her child anything to eat or even water.
If the baby cannot be breastfed, then how can he be breastfed. In the MBA center there was a place where mothers could feed the baby in peace and also it is a very powerless place which is the digital monitor play section, from this the mothers could understand the messages very easily.

SARPV provides feeding services in 7 camps of "Kutupalong" and "Unchiprang" with 8 OTP centers and 6 Mother Baby Areas. In the second phase of this program, display units were installed in each OTP and MBA. As part of this display unit, 36 inch TV has been installed in each waiting room of OTP centers and 42 inch TV has been installed in each counseling room of the MBA.
The main objective of this exhibition unit is to spread knowledge about nutritious food, importance of nutrition and exclusive breastfeeding, complementary feeding, proper hygiene and sanitation practices by displaying Meena cartoons, documentaries and advertisements of IPHN and nutrition education materials of various organizations . The beneficiaries and children of SARPV enjoy watching Meena cartoons and other videos on TV. Although we know that audio aids are more important educational materials. Audio literally means 'hearing'.
So all such aids which try to make knowledge clear to us through our senses are called 'audio visual aids'.
Some challenges
As the Rohingya community had their own language, they are not relatives to our language. And also due to sudden influx of population in Ukhiya, so they arose crises of transport. As the centers were full of refugees, there was not much hygiene outside the OTP centres.
The government has passed a rule that in the entire camp only 2G network will be activated even in Ukhiya Upazela. The refugees were from Myanmar, so they had their own language, so it is difficult to cope with another language.
