Position Title: Lead-Capacity Building Starting from: ASAP

BACKGROUND:

Centre for Peace and Justice (CPJ) is a multi-disciplinary academic institute, which intends to promote global peace and social justice through quality education, research, training and advocacy.

CPJ is committed to identifying and promoting sustainable and inclusive solutions to a wide range of global concerns and issues, including fragility, conflict and violence. CPJ has recently reviewed its strategy and has decided to expand its capacity development activities over the coming years. We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Lead- Capacity Building according to the below Terms of Reference.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop a self-sustaining capacity building unit for CPJ;

• Develop capacity building strategies for Stakeholders;

• Develop appropriate training initiatives and other capacity building mechanisms, lead in the planning and execution of the capacity building strategies;

• Coordinate CPJ’s capacity building activities and encourage synergy within CPJ

• Organize CPJ’s capacity building pool;

• Design, implement and lead CPJ’s training and academic courses

• Identify and work on the capacity building needs of the project staff and trainers;

• Conduct training needs assessment, course evaluation, and prepare reports;

• Design, develop and mobilize training modules, manuals, and toolkits;

• Develop networks and working collaborations with the partners and stakeholders;

• Managing budget;

• Marketing of CPJ’s training and academic courses;

• Fund raising and revenue generation;

• Draft proposals for training grants;

• Any other relevant duties and responsibilities assigned by the line supervisor;

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES:

▪ Advanced university degree in Social Sciences/Development Studies or any other related discipline;

▪ At least 3-5 years working experience in similar field;

▪ Excellent command over written and oral English and Bangla;

▪ Excellent IT skills is a requirement;

▪ Must be a creative and strategic thinker with good judgment and ability to make independent decisions in a changing environment;

▪ Ability to coordinate with stakeholders;

▪ Excellent interpersonal skills;

▪ Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines;

▪ Attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
