Welcome to the Lab Course on Apparel Merchandising (TE428)
Instructions/Guideline for the course:
Students who are registered in this course (both day and evening) have to enroll in Moodle.
Students can find all the course materials from Moodle and Google Classroom.
Any announcement regarding the class will be posted on Moodle. So students are advised to be active on Moodle.
The question pattern and the syllabus for the final lab exam is given here under lab final exam section.
Rationale: The course is designed to synchronize and enhance the knowledge of the students between the practical and theoretical areas by conducting practical lab experience on measurement of Top and Bottom, Practices on CAD/CAM Systems for Pattern Making, Grading and Marker Making, Preparing Order Sheet enable students to make marker by using software which saves time and reduces cost. Objectives:
After completion of the course, students will be able to
Measure different types of garments
Calculate the deviation in measurement of a garments from its given specification
Make pattern from a given specification
Grade the patterns for getting different sizes
Make marker from graded pattern
Calculate the fabric consumption of garments and marker efficiency Course Content:
Measurement of Garments (Woven Shirt, T shirt, Pants)
Drawing pattern and making marker by using a software
