ABSTRAK

Wahyu Widodo Kurniawan, Pengembangan Sistem Informasi Persediaan Barang Terdistribusi (Studi Kasus : PT. Master Centranusa Cemerlang). (Dibawah bimbingan Ibu Nur Aeni Hidayah dan Ibu Nia Kumaladewi).

PT. MCC merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang refill toner dan

service printer. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, setiap proses masuk dan keluarnya barang masih dilakukan secara semi komputer, sehingga tidak terkontrol jumlah stok barang yang masih tersedia dan memungkinkan kehilangan barang atau kelebihan barang di gudang. Karena itu untuk kecepatan, keakuratan, dan pengolahan data barang tersebut, diperlukan sebuah sistem informasi persediaan barang bagi divisi-divisi terkait pada PT. MCC. Dalam perancangan sistem ini menggunakan metode System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) dan aplikasi program menggunakan Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 dan Struktur Query Language (SQL) Server 2000 sebagai basis datanya. Serta Windows Socket

(Winsock) yang mengelola sesi koneksi data antara client dan server. Dengan dibangunnya sistem ini, dapat membantu divisi-divisi terkait untuk mendapatkan informasi persediaan barang secara langsung, yang meliputi informasi data jenis barang, informasi barang masuk, informasi barang keluar dan informasi barang

retur ke supplier. Apabila ada transaksi barang masuk ke gudang data tersebut dapat dimasukkan ke dalam komputer dan secara otomasis akan mempengaruhi data yang ada yaitu barangnya akan bertambah. Begitu juga apabila ada barang yang keluar, data dimasukkan ke dalam komputer secara otomasis pula barang yang ada akan berkurang.
