ABSTRAK

Hasil survey awal di hotel X Medan pramu kamar beresiko untuk mengalami keluhan Low Back Pain akibat postur kerja yang tidak alamiah dan beban kerja selama bekerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa postur kerja dan beban kerja pramu kamar terhadap keluhan LBP di hotel “X” Medan.

Jenis dan rancangan penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analitik dengan rancangan cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan total populasi sebagai sampel sebanyak 30 orang. Pengukuran keluhan LBP digunakan standard Nordic kuisioner yang dimodifikasi. Observasi postur kerja direkam dengan menggunakan kamera digital. Penilaian postur kerja digunakan metoda OWAS dan pengukuran beban kerja menggunakan teori Christensen dengan menghitung denyut nadi

Hasil uji statistik terdapat hubungan yang significant antara beban kerja dan keluhan LBP dengan nilai p = 0.006 ( p < 0.05 ). Hasil penilaian postur kerja dengan metode OWAS postur kerja pramu kamar yang perlu mendapat perbaikan adalah postur kerja saat merapikan tempat tidur membersihkan dan mengeringkan kamar mandi.

Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini adalah memperbaiki postur kerja pramu kamar pada saat merapikan tempat tidur dari postur kaki berdiri menjadi berlutut dengan kedua lutut dan mengganti peralatan membersihkan dan mengeringkan kamar mandi dengan alat yang memiliki tangkai yang panjang serta melakukan sosialisasi latihan penanggulangan LBP oleh seorang ahli fisioterapi .

ABSTRACT

The result of previous survey done in hotel X Medan reveals that room boy has a risk to develop to be Low Back Pain (LBP) because of awkward posture and physical work load during working. This study aims at analyzing room boy's work posture and physical work load related to LBP at hotel X Medan.

This study employs the analytical descriptive research design with cross sectional approach. The samples for this study are 30 workers out of the total population. Modified Nordic Questionnaire Standard is used to measure the complaint on LBP during the observation; work posture is recorded by using a digital camera. OWAS method is used to assets the room boy's work posture and counting heart beats based on Christensen theory is used to measure their physical work load

The result statistical test shows that there is significant relationship between physical work load and LBP with p value is 0.006 ( p < 0.05 ) The result work posture assessment through OWAS method indicates that the room boy’s should improvement their work posture while making up bed, cleaning and drying toilet.

It is Recommended that the room boy's improve their work posture such as kneeling rather than standing leg position while making up bed and using the mop with long stick while cleaning and drying the bath room (toilet ) , and the h o t e l ma n a g e me n t s o ci a l i ze t h e t r a in in g o n L B P P r ev en t io n g iv en b y physiotherapist
