ABSTRACT
Counseling practices can help companies encourage employees to solve problems in the workplace. It will help employees to identify their weaknesses, strengths, and to find out work situation that allows them to more easily make adjustments to work. The practice of counseling in corporate setting is however rarely found. The purpose of the study is to understanding: 1) The reasons the Sunan Hotel adopted the practice of employees counseling, 2) the process of adopting and implementating employee counseling, 3) the impact of employee counseling practice the performance at the Sunan Hotel. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach and the result are the formats of presented in narrative, flow charts, diagrams, and tables to facilitate understanding.
This study concludes that the problems faced by employees that had led to the decrease of level of attendance and number of guests staying or visiting causes by The Sunan Hotel to adopt counseling practice. The Process of adoption consists of revenue suggestion from external company, search for information, learning and implementation of counseling practice the company. Counseling practice had impacts on both employee performance and the of the hotel.
