Excellency,
I have the honour to refer to Article 6 of -the
Trade Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia dated March 11, 1975 and to the Chapter III paragraph 9 of the Protocol of Di scussions on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Government of the
Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Republ i c of Indonesia of October 20, 1984 and I take the liberty of confirming the understanding r eached between us relating to the setting up of an institutional
framework for consultations as follows :
1. For the further development of trade and economic cooperation both Governments agreed to establish a Joint Commission.
2. The Joint Commission shall undertake the following functions
a. studying the possibilities and means of expanding and deve l o ping relations in commercial, economic, industrial, technical and scientific fields between the two countries;
b. drawing up recommendations to the respective authorities and organizations on measures to be taken to セ イッュッエ・@ cooperation in the fields
mentioned above;

-e. encourage direct collaboration between the competent business organizations and companies in order to strenghten economic relations and trade activities between the two countries;
d. identify other fields for promotion of trade and economic cooperation.
3. The Joint Commission shall be headed by a Chairman in the rank of Deputy Minister and Director General, respectively, from each side.
4. The Joint Commission may set up working groups which i t considers appropriate, and i f necessary, each side may invite advisers and/or experts to attend the
session.
5. The Joint Commission shall meet every second year or as may be mutually agreed upon. The sessions take place alternately in Jakarta and Prague. Both parties shall notify each other of the composition of their delegations prior to each meeting.
6. The date and the Agenda of the sessions of the Joint Commission shall be determined by the Chairman through diplomatic channels.
7. Each side shall meet all expenses of its own
