ABSTRACT
Geothermal potential has almost spread widely in Indonesia, but none of them are verified yet
in detail. Geophysics Survey is needed as a preface research on the first stage. Geophysics
Survey is used to discover the subsurface structure of the geothermal area. Geophysics
method that is used to discover geothermal structure is Magnetotellurics (MT) method. MT
method uses variations of the magnetic field and electric field derived from nature. The
advantage of this method is being able to reach up to some kilometers beneath the Earth’s
surface. This research aims to discover the existence of geothermal system based on
resistivity value of the rock. The result shows that there is two dimension model of resistivity
concerning the deepness. Resistivity value of the low rock is 4
–
32
and considered as caprock, whereas rock which has resistivity value between 128 – 512 is considered as reservoir rock
.
Rock which has resistivity value above
1024 is considered as heat source and there is a part offault that is seen from the research area.
