Melvi Wahyu Angraini Nst. Pengaruh Kolkhisin Terhadap Keragaman Genotip dan Fenotip Tanaman Aglaonema (Aglaonema cochinense Schott.) Varietas Lady Valentine, dibimbing oleh Hot Setiado dan Revandy I. M. Damanik.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kolkhisin terhadap keragaman genotip dan fenotip tanaman aglaonema, Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di rumah kaca Fakultas Pertanian USU Medan, pada ketinggian ± 32 meter di atas permukaan laut dari bulan Januari sampai Mei 2017. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara perendaman bahan tanam selama 3 jam dan 6 jam pada konsentrasi larutan kolkhisin 5 ppm dan 10 ppm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tanaman aglaonema hasil perlakuan berbagai konsentrasi kolkhisin berpengaruh nyata pada peubah amatan pertambahan tinggi tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tanaman aglaonema hasil perlakuan perendaman selama 6 jam di dalam larutan kolkhisin 10 ppm memiliki karakter morfologis dan kromosom yang paling berbeda dibandingkan dengan kontrol dan perlakuan lainnya.

This study aims to determine the effect of kolkhisin on the diversity of plant genotypes and phenotypes aglaonema, This research was conducted in the greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture USU Medan, at an altitude of ± 32 meters above sea level from January to May 2017. The research was done by immersion plant material for 3 hours and 6 hours at concentration of colchicine solution 5 ppm and 10 ppm. The result of this research showed that aglaonema plant treated by various concentration of colchisin had significant effect on the observed variables of plant height increase. The results showed that the plants of aglaonema result of soaking treatment for 6 hours in colchisin 10 ppm solution have the most different morphological and chromosome character compared with control and other treatment.
