ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakngi oleh kurangnya kemampuan menulis sajak siswa kelas VII 14 SMP Negeri 9 Bandung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) kemampuan menulis sajak sebelum menggunakan media photostory; (2) kemampuan menulis sajak sesudah menggunakan media photostory; dan (3) Beda signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media photostory. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen. Tekniknya adalah teknik tes. Sumber datanya siswa kelas VII 14 SMP negeri 9 Bandung sebanyak 35 siswa Analisis data dengan cara analisis statistik, yaitu uji normalitas data mengunakan chi-kuadrat, uji homogenitas data menggunakan uji F, dan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa: (1) sebelum menggunakan media photostory siswa belum mamapuh nulis sajak, rata-rata nilainya 56,6 (2) sesudah menggunakan media photostory siswa mampuh nulis sajak, rata-ratanya 76,6 (3) jadi ada beda yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media photostory berdasarkan hasil uji t, bahwa titung (10,1) > ttabel (2,44). Hal ini membuktikan bahwa media photostory bisa

meningkatkan kemampuan menulis sajak siswa kelas VII 14 SMP negeri 9 Bandung tahun ajaran 2013/2014.

ABSTRACT

The background of this research is the lack of writing poem skill among seventh-14

grade’s students in 9 Bandung Junior High School. The goal of this research is to

describe: (1) The writing poem skill before use photo story media; (2) The writing poem skill after use photo story media; (3) The differences between before and after use photo

story media. The method have used in this research were quasi–experiment method. T–

Test was used as technique in this research. The data source was taken from 35 students

in seventh–14 grade’s students in 9 Bandung Junior High School. The research used data

analysis through statistics analysis methods, which are Normality–Test which use Chi– Quadrat, Homogeneity–Test which use F–Test, and Hypothesis–Test used T–Test, in

order to know the student’s skill in writing poem. Building on research result, 1) The

writing poem skill before use photo story media was 56,6; (2) The writing poem skill after use photo story media was 76,6; (3) The differences between before and after use photo story media Building on T–Test, it was proven if Tvalue (10,1) > Ttable (2,44).

Building on research, it could said if photo story media could increase the writing poem

skill among seventh–14 grade’s students in 9 Bandung Junior High School.
