Abstrack
This study aims to determine and describe the effectiveness of school website as a information medium in SMA Negeri 1 Salatiga. Data were collected by observation, questionnaires, and interviews. Results showed that (1) Website SMA Negeri 1 Salatiga relatively effective of the five components of a good website terms there are four
components that the component effectively readability, speed, accuracy and effeciency. There are ‘accuracy’
component and ‘content mobility’ component that do not meet the criteria of a good school website. Based on these
components SMA Negeri 1 Salatiga website conditions as a good website has a high value with 67% percentace, it can be concluded as effective school website. (2) Challenge faced in the use of the school website at SMA Negeri 1 Salatiga is that it requires additional human resource to create the article. Overall it can be concluded that the effectiveness of the school's website at SMA 1 Salatiga relatively effective.

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan Efektivitas Website sekolah sebagai Media Informasi di SMA Negeri 1 Salatiga. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan observasi, pembagian angket, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Website SMA Negeri 1 Salatiga tergolong efektif dari lima komponen syarat website yang baik terdapat empat komponen yang efektif yaitu pada komponen readability, speed, accuracy dan effeciency. Namun demikian terdapat komponen accuracy dan komponen mobilitas content yang belum sesuai dengan kriteria website sekolah yang baik. Berdasarkan komponen-komponen tersebut website SMA Negeri 1 Salatiga memenuhi syarat sebagai website yang baik yang memiliki persentase sebesar 67% dengan predikat tinggi maka dapat disimpulkan sebagai website sekolah yang efektif. (2) Kendala yang terdapat dalam pemanfaatan website sekolah di SMA Negeri 1 Salatiga yaitu memerlukan tenaga tambahan untuk membuat artikel. Secara keseluruhan dapat disimpulkan bahwa efektivitas website sekolah di SMA Negeri 1 Salatiga relatif efektif.
