THE GUIDELINE FOR CLOVE TRADING
(Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 22/MPP/Kep/1/1998 dated January 21, 1998)
THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE Considering :
a. that in order to follow up Presidential Decree No. 21/1998 on the trading of cloves, a guideline for the realisation of clove trading is required;
b. that in this connection, it is necessary to stipulate a Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade concerning the guideline for clove trading.
In view of :
1. Presidential Decree No-96/M/1 993 on the establishment of the sixth Development Cabinet as already amended by Presidential Decree No.388/M/1995;
2. Presidential Decree No.2/1996 on the amendment of Presidential Decree No.15/1984 on the organisational structures of ministries as already twenty-five times amended, the latest by Presidential Decree No. 61/1995;
3. Presidential Decree No.21/1998 on the trading of cloves. DECIDES:
To revoke:
The Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No.313/MPP/Kep/9/1997 on the clove trade system.
To stipulate:
THE DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE CONCERNING THE GUIDELINE FOR CLOVE
Article 1
Farmers and traders shall be allowed freedom to sell and or buy cloves to and or from any party on the basis of the market price.
Article 2
(1) The National Clove Agency (BCN) shall coordinate the settlement of clove trade arrangement affairs up to July 30, 1998. N. 6118/6119/4-2-1998
(2) The promotion and development of clove trading starting from July 1, 1998 shall be conducted by the Director General of Domestic Trade.
(3) In order to render assistance in the execution of the task as meant in paragraph (2), the Minister of Industry and Trade appoints the Director General of Domestic Trade to form a team with members comprising personnel from relevant agencies.
Article 3
(1) The Clove Bufferstock arbd Marketing Agency shall settle everything connected with Its activities not later than June 30.1998.
(2) As from June 30, 1998, the Clove Bufferstock and Marketing Agency shall be dissolved.
Article 4
This decree shall come into force as from February 2, 1998.
For Public cognizance, this decree shall be promulgated by publishing it in the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia.
