Vocabulary plays an important role in learning language. English teachers can teach vocabulary by using media. They need creativity as an effort to reform the learning process in school. In MTs Negeri Karangrejo who has many English teachers who are very creative in developing media and have a large collection of media. This reason makes me to conduct teachers‟ creativities..

Research problems in this study were: 1) How are the teachers‟ creativities in developing teaching media in MTs Negeri Karangrejo? 2) How are the teachers‟ creativities in applying teaching media to teach vocabulary in MTs Negeri Karangrejo? 3) What are the advantages acquired by teachers by using their media in teaching vocabulary in? 4) What are the advantages acquired by students by using media in learning vocabulary in?

Purposes of this study were: 1) To know the teachers‟ creativities in developing teaching media in MTs Negeri Karangrejo. 2) To know the teachers‟ creativities in applying teaching media to teach vocabulary in MTs Negeri Karangrejo. 3) To identify the advantages acquired by teachers by using their media in teaching vocabulary. 4) To identify the advantages acquired by students by using media in learning vocabulary.

Research method applied in this study included, 1) descriptive design with qualitative approach as its design, 2) The English teachers in MTs Negeri Karangrejo as subject of the study, 3) Observation, interview, questionnaires and documentation as instruments of collecting data, and 4) There were three techniques of analyzing data, those were making data reduce, data display and making conclusion drawing.

The result of the study shows that English teachers have creativity in developing and applying teaching media for teaching vocabulary in MTs Negeri Karangrejo. The researcher finds same characteristics creativity in T1 and T2, especially in developing teaching media. TI and T2 used imagination, pursuing purposes, being original and judging value. They motivate others people and then they try to produce their own media and outcome can present in process teaching learning. Then T1 and T2 have different in applying media. T1 used visual are not projected, visual dynamic projected and visual silent projected. T2 used visual are not projected, audio and print. Then there were advantages that acquired teachers using media in teaching vocabulary that mostly, the roles of teachers not only as the sole source of learning, media can help teachers to make learning come alive, not monotonous and boring, and facilitate the teacher explain the material. From percentages, students of class VIIA & IXA are very agree in using media in

learning vocabulary. There were advantages that mostly, learning activities take place smoothly, the use of the media is clear in teaching, media learning more fun equipped with image, don‟t feel bored in media that used, feel happy in media that used, and the use of media facilitate in study.

Kosa kata berperan penting dalam bahasa pembelajaran. Guru mengajar kosa kata menggunakan media. Mereka membutuhkan kreativitas sebagai upaya perbaikan dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah. Di MTs Negeri Karangrejo ada banyak guru bahasa inggris yang sangat kreativitas mengembangkan media dan mempunyai banyak koleksi media.

Rumusan masalah yang mendasari adalah: 1) Bagaimana kreativitas guru dalam mengembangkan media di MTs Negeri Karangrejo? 2) Bagaimana guru mengaplikasikan media mengajar kosakata? 3) Apa keuntungan yang didapat guru menggunakan media mengajar kosakata? 4) Apa keuntungan yang didapat siswa menggunakan media dalam belajar kosakata?.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) mengetahui kreativitas guru dalam mengembangkan media di MTs Negeri Karangrejo. 2) mengetahui cara guru mengaplikasikan media mengajar kosakata. 3) mengidentifikasi keuntungan yang didapat guru menggunakan media mengajar kosakata. 4) mengidentifikasi keuntungan yang didapat siswa dalam belajar kosakata.

Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah, 1) desain penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, 2) subjek penelitian guru bahasa Inggris MTs Negeri Karangrejo, 3) pengamatan, wawancara, angket dan dokumentasi sebagai instrument mengumpulkan data, 4) ada 3 teknik menganalisis data.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan guru bahasa Inggris di MTs Negeri Karangrejo mempunyai kreativitas dalam mengembangkan dan mengaplikasikan media dalam mengajar kosakata. Peneliti menemukan karakteristik kreativitas yang berbeda dalam TI dan T2, khususnya dalam mengembangkan media. T1 dan T2 menggunakan imajinasi, mengejar tujuan, keaslian dan nilai. Mereka termotivasi orang lain dan mencoba membuat media sendiri. Mereka mempunyai media yang berbeda dalam mengembangkan dan mengaplikasikan mengajar kosakata. Kemudian T1 dan T2 mempunyai perbedaan dalam mengaplikasikan media. T1 menggunakan media visual yang diproyeksikan, visual dinamik yang diproyeksikan dan visual diam yang diproyeksikan. T2 menggunakan media visual yang diproyeksikan, audio dan cetak. Keuntungan yang guru dapatkan menggunakan media kebanyakan berpendapat peran guru bukan hanya satu- satunya sumber belajar, membantu guru untuk menciptakan suasana belajar menjadi lebih hidup, dan mempermudah guru menjelaskan materi. Dari persentase siswa kelas VIIA & IXA sangat setuju menggunakan media. Kebanyakan keuntungannya yaitu kegiatan pembelajaran berlangsung lancar, media sudah jelas

dalam pembelajaran, lebih asyik dengan gambar, tidak bosan dan senang menggunakan media, dan memudahkan belajar.
