the c o m pa tib ilitie s a nd p o ssib le g a p s b e twe e n Ind o ne sia 's ne w tim b e r le g a lity ve rific a tio n

syste m , (SVLK), a nd the g e ne ric EU e xpe c ta tio ns fo r the Tim b e r Le g a lity Assura nc e Syste m s

(TLA S).

This a sse ssm e nt is a ke y ste p in the VPA ne g o tia tio n pro c e ss. The finding s a nd c o nc lusio ns

o f the e xp e rts m e e ting will b e use d b y Indo ne sia n a nd EU o ffic ia ls to de te rm ine the

po ssib ility a nd c o nditio ns unde r whic h the VPA m a y b e c o nc lud e d a nd to ide ntify a c tio ns
