AMANDEMENT TO THE DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE NO. 228/MPP/Kep/7/1997 ON GENERAL PROVISION IN
THE EXPORT SECTOR

THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE Considering:
a. that within the framework of ensuring the smooth export of ornaments of gold, it is deemed necessary to amend the Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 228/MPP/Kep/7/1997;
b. that for this purpose it is necessary to issue a decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade.
In view of :
1. The Decree of the minister of Trade No. 225/Kp/X/1995 on the release of goods abroad beyond the general provisions in the epxort sector;
2. The Decree of the minister of Industry and Trade No. 228/MPP/Kep/7/1997 on general provisions in the export sector;
3. The Decree of the Minister of Trade No. 408/MPP/Kep/10/97 on the provisions and procedure for the granting of corporate registration certificates and trade licences;
4. The Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 12/MPP/Kep/1/1998 on the implementation of corporate regitstration.

B. To amend Article 5 of the Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 228/MPP/Kep/7/1997 as follows:
Orginal:
To become:
(1) Goods as stipulated in the Decree of the Minister of Trade No. 225/KP/X/95 jo. The Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 317/MPP/Kep/9/1997 on the release of goods abroad beyond the general provisions in the export sector shall be excepted from the provisions in this decree.
(2) The exception as meant in paragraph (1) shall not be valid for passenger’s goods in the from of gold viz. Powder (HS 7108.11.000); in lumps, ingots or cast bars (HS 7108.12.100); others (7108.12.900), and they shall remain subject to the provisions on goods subject to export control.
C. With the enforcement of this decree, all the other provisions stipulated in the Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 228/MPP/Kep/7/1997 shall remain effective.
Article II
This decree shall come into force as from the date of stipulation.
For public cognizance, this decree shall be announced by publishing it in the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia.
