STRUKTUR DAN KOMPOSISI POHON SERTA KARBON TERSIMPAN DI DELENG MACIK KAWASAN TAHURA BUKIT BARISAN
KABUPATEN KARO SUMATERA UTARA ABSTRAK
Penelitian struktur dan komposisi pohon serta karbon tersimpan di Deleng Macik Kawasan Tahura Bukit Barisan Sumatera Utara telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei sampai Oktober 2016. Lokasi penelitian ditentukan menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan membentuk plot berukuran 10x10 m sebanyak 100 plot mengikuti garis transek sepanjang 1000 m secara zigzag. Komposisi pohon terdiri dari 70 jenis pohon dari 23 famili. Luas Bidang Dasar tertinggi diperoleh pada famili Lauraceae dengan nilai 7,54 m2. Stratifikasi pohon kelompok B dan C ditemukan pada semua plot dan jumlah pohon terbanyak termasuk dalam stratum C yaitu 417 individu. Nilai INP tertinggi didapatkan pada jenis Anthocephalus cadamba sebesar 27,86% sedangkan yang terendah pada jenis Cyptocarya ferrea sebesar 0,56%. Nilai indeks keaneakaragaman dan kemerataan sebesar 3,91 dan 0,92. Jumlah karbon tersimpan yang diperoleh pada lokasi penelitian sebesar 21,04 ton/1ha.

COMPOSITION AND STRUCTURE OF TREE AND CARBON STOCKS IN DELENG MACIK BUKIT BARISAN GRAND FOREST PARK

ABSTRACT
Research on the composition and structure of tree vegetation and carbon stored in Deleng Macik Bukit Barisan Grand Forest Park areas Karo district of North Sumatera Province had been done on May till October 2016. This research aims to determine the composition and structure as well as the potential of carbon stored in the forest of Deleng Macik. The research location is determined by purposive sampling method based on 1 km transect line which contains 100 plots area, each plot has a size about 10x10 m and were placed in zigzag pattern. Observations were made using squares method. From the results were found that the tree composition consists of 70 species from 23 families. The highest value on the horizontal structure is from Lauraceae family with a value of 7,54m2, while the most abundance vertical structure in startum C with 417 individuals. The highest Importance Value Index found on Anthocephalus cadamba around 27,86% and the lowest on the type of Cryptocarya ferrea around 0,56%. The diversity index as well as uniformity index in the location around 3,91 and 0,92. The carbon stored in the location is 21,04 tons C/ha.
