Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan kesalehan sosial siswa dalam pembelajaran PAI. Hal ini berdasarkan masalah yang berkembang saat ini yaitu masih belum terpenuhinya kualitas proses dan hasil pembelajaran PAI pada peningkatan kesalehan sosial yang diharapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan sebuah model pembelajaran untuk meningkat-kan kesalehan sosial siswa. Pendekatan yang digunameningkat-kan dalam penelitian ini

adalah research and development. Subyek penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa

kelas XI SMA di Kota Bandung. Alat pengumpul data menggunakan angket, pedoman observasi, dan skala sikap model likert. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan metode analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan statistik uji-t dan Analisis Varians 2-jalur. Dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran desain yang dikembangkan terdiri dari tujuh tahapan, yaitu: (1) pengkondisian spiritual, (2) orientasi masalah, (3) perencanaan penyelidikan/pengamatan, (4)

pelaksanaan penyelidikan/pengamatan, (5) diskusi kelompok (analisis dan

sintesis), (6) penyajian hasil, dan (7) refleksi dan aplikasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran yang dikembangkan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan kesalehan sosial siswa yakni memberikan hasil sesuai

dengan yang diharapkan. Atas dasar temuan di atas, penelitian ini

merekomendasikan agar hasil pengembangan model pembelajaran ini dapat dijadikan model alternatif dalam pembelajaran PAI.

The background of the research relates to the needs of improving students’ social piety in Islamic religious education. It is based on today’s growing problem namely the unfulfilled quality process and learning outcomes on Islamic education in the expected improvement of social piety. This study aims to produce a model of learning to improve students' social piety. The approach used in this study is research and development. The subjects of this study are teachers and students of class XI in Bandung. The technique of collecting data are questionnaires, observation guidelines, and model attitude Likert scale. Data were analyzed in qualitative and quantitative approaches using statistical t-test and Analysis of Variance 2-lines. In the implementation of learning activities, the design that is the developed on this research consists of seven stage, (1) the conditioning of spiritual, (2) the orientation of the problem, (3) the inquiry planning/observations, (4) the conduct of investigations/ observations, (5) the discussion groups (analysis and synthesis), (6) the presentation of results, and (7) the reflection and application. The result of the study shows that the learning model developed is effective to improve students' social piety with the expected results. Based on the findings, the study recommends that the results of the model development can be used as an alternative model in teaching Islamic education.
