ABSTRACT
Vallen Olivia Caterine Yudana, 210111100151, Majoring in Public Relations, Faculty of Communication Science-University of Padjadjaran. The title of this research is "Corporate Social Responsibility Activity by PT. PLN (Persero) Garut area ". This research under the guidance by Dr. Agus Rahmat, M. Pd as the main supervisor and Wawan Setiawan lecture, Drs., M.Si accompaniying advisor as the lecture.
This study aims to determine the background, purpose, and goal-setting stages of Regional-Self-Energy-Development as Corporate Social Responsibility activities of PT. PLN (Persero) Garut area Cikupa desa Pakenjeng , Garut. The method used in this study is a qualitative case study approach and techniques of data collection through direct observation, in-depth interviews (depth interviews), and literature study.
These results indicate that the background of the holding activities of Regional Development's Energy Independent is a government program aimed at areas that were deemed to be left behind and not get electricity supply by utilizing natural resources.The goal in an effort to help the people who need energy that is in line with the company motto of "power for a better life". However, in practice this activity has not been going well and effectively due to lack of socialization and the level of public awareness to participate in local development to be independent.Kampung Cikupa chosen as the target of Corporate Social Responsibility PLN Garut area because the village does not have the network and installation. Regional-Self-Energy-Development stages include the collection of data by conducting field surveys, planning and making proposals to the office of the distribution, implementation by building a biogas power plant control and evaluation activities.
