DECREE
MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA
NUMBER:67/MPP/KEP/2/2004 REGARDING
APPOINMENT of SURVEYOR To CONDUCT TECHNICAL VERIFICATION ON IMPORT OF RICE, UNHUSKED RICE, SUITABLE TO BE SOWED, GLUTINOUS RICE, RICE FLOUR AND
OTHER FLOUR IMPORT
MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA
Considering:
a. That in the framework of implementing article 12 of Decree of Minister of Industry and Trade No/9/MPP/kep/1/2004 regarding provisions of rice import, it is deemed necessary to appoint surveyor to conduct technical verification on rice import;
b. Therefore it is deemed necessary to issue Decree of Minister of Industry and Trade;
In view of:
Decree of Minister of Industry and Trade Number 9/MPP/Kep/1/2004 regarding provisions of rice import
DECIDE
Stipulate :
FISRT:
Appoint the following surveyors: 1. PT. (Persero) Sucofindo;
2. PT. (Persero) Surveyor Indonesia;
to conduct technical verification on import of rice, unhusked rice, suitable to be sowed, glutinous rice, rice flour and other flour import
SECOND:
The two surveyors referred to in the first dictum of this decree shall have the following duties: 1. Perform technical verification and collect data on:
a. Country of origin of rice import
b. Rice specification based on HS number c. Amount and type of rice
d. Date of shipment and e. Destination port
2. Include the result of technical verification referred to in the first dictum of this decree in the surveyor’s report which will be used as import document.
THIRD
Any delay or other technical faults relating to the issue of verification report which are caused by surveyor’s negligence either intentionally or unintentionally, shall be borne by the surveyor based on provisions stated by (International Federation of Inspection Agency/ IF/A).
FOURTH:
In performing technical verification on import of rice, unhusked rice, suitable to be sowed, glutinous rice, rice flour and other flour, surveyor is entitled to impose fee on rice importer whose amount shall correspond to the service it renders.
FIFTH
Any costs arising from the issue of this decree shall be borne by the surveyor
SIXTH
Appointment of surveyor as referred to in the first dictum of this decree shall not annul the authority of Minister of Industry and Trade to revoke, change and add surveyors to perform verification on import of rice, unhusked rice, suitable to be sowed, glutinous rice, rice flour and other flour.
SEVENTH
Technical guidelines for the implementation of this decree shall be made by Director General of Foreign Trade Ministry of Industry and Trade
EIGHTH
This decree shall come into force as it is stipulated
