The books gives a quick and not too deep introduction to a topic of W3C reusable web components. The books provides a quick description of the specification and web component model, followed up by a number of chapters describing a couple of frameworks supporting development of custom web components. What I was missing was a better description of current support for all the needed technologies in the current pool of web browsers. The truth is that as of today, Chrome is the only browser supporting all what is needed, other browsers lack the support or there are compromises to be considered during development.
That is something I was missing, and also I am afraid the book can get quickly out of date thanks to fast development of web components support. Still, I consider it a worthy read, at the end there is no other book on the topic I am aware of.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
