There are several main reasons that make coal prices tend to be stable. The answer is the COVID-19 outbreak itself. The existence of the COVID-19 outbreak made Mongolia the neighbor of China that supplied coking coal for Chinese steel making needs to close its borders, thus cutting supplies to China by up to 50% of normal.
