i ABSTRAK
Laporan Tugas Akhir ini berjudul “Peran Asisten Produksi dalam Program Redaksi di Trans 7 ”. Program Diploma III Pendidikan Ahli Komunikasi Terapan, Fakultas Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor.
Tujuan dari Tugas Akhir ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran asisten dalam praproduksi program “Redaksi” di Trans 7, Kedua, mengetahui peran asisten dalam produksi program “Redaksi” di Trans 7 Ketiga, mengetahui peran asisten dalam pascaproduksi program “Redaksi” di Trans 7, serta mengetahui Hambatan yang dialami asisten dalam produksi program “Redaksi” di Trans 7 serta penanggulanggannya.
Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan Laporan Tugas Akhir ini adalah metode deskriptif. Metode ini dipilih karena penulis ingin memberikan gambaran bagaimana peran asisten produksi dalam pelaksanaan produksi berita. Untuk
teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan studi pengamatan di lapangan melalui wawancara dengan asisten produksi pada program tersebut serta dengan studi
dokumentasi dengan menggunakan sumber dokumen tertulis.
Hasil Laporan Tugas Akhir ini menunjukan bahwa tugas asisten produksi pada program “Redaksi” di Trans 7 dalam memproduksi sebuah program melalui tahap praproduksi yaitu mengikuti rapat redaksi serta mengetahui proses liputan. Tahap produksi asisten produksi menemani dubber pada saat dubbing, memilih gambar untuk siaran serta menemani editor untuk editing dan tahap terakhir pascaproduksi asisten merapikan kaset dan mencatat timecode.
Simpulan yang didapat adalah asisten produksi program “Redaksi” di Trans 7 sudah melakukan tugasnya dengan baik yaitu melaksanakan tahap-tahap mulai dari produksi hingga pascaproduksi dengan detail.

This Final Report entitled “Role of Production Assistant on Program
„Redaksi‟ on Trans7”. Diploma III Program of Applied Communication Expert
Education, Faculty of Communication Science, Padjadjaran University,
Jatinangor.
The purposes of this final report were to determine the role of production assistant in praproduction of program “Redaksi” on Trans 7, to determine the role of production assistant in production of program “Redaksi” on Trans 7, to determine the of production assistant in postproduction of program “Redaksi” on Trans 7, and to determine the obstacles faced by production assistant and their
solutions.
Method employed in this final report was descriptive. This method was
chosen because, the writer would like to give an idea how role of production
assistant in the implementation of the production of news. For data collection,
field observation was carried out through interview with the production assistant
in the program as well as to study documentation with the use of the written
documents.
The result demonstrated that the tasks for production assistant of program “Redaksi” on Trans 7 in producing a program through prapoduction phase were to attend editorial meetings as well as to undestand the process of reportage. In
the production phase, production assistant was to accompany dubber in dubbing,
to pick the pictures to broadcast, and to accompany editor in editing. And for final
phase of postproduction, production assistant was to tidy up cassettes and record
timecode.
