ABSTRACT
IMPLEMENTATION LEARNING OF MODEL (CLIS) CHILDREN'S LEARNING IN SCIENCE TO IMPROVE UNDERSTANDING OF CONCEPTS IN MATERIALS SCIENCE LESSON PLANE SIMPLE

This study aims to obtain a describe of the implementation of learning and knowing improved understanding of the concept of a simple plane material after applying the learning model Children's Learning in Science (CLIS). The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was adapted from the model of Kemmis and Mc Taggart, with the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research is done in three cycles. The subjects were students of class V, the subject are 14 students at SDN 1 Cibogo. The research instrument consisted of a test conceptual understanding, observation and documentation sheet. The results showed that an increase in the acquisition indicated an average value of the post-test were increased in each cycle, the first cycle of 68.57, the second cycle of 73.57 and 77.86 for the third cycle, the normalized gain on the acquisition of the first cycle of 0.33 with the low category, the second cycle was obtained normalized gain of 0.40 with the medium category and the third cycle is obtained normalized gain of 0.67 with the middle category. In addition, there is an increase in the average value of the normalized gain for every aspect of students' understanding of concepts with low and medium categories. Based on these results it can be concluded that the application of learning models CLIS had improved students' understanding of concepts in materials science learning simple plane. Based on these results it can be concluded that the application of learning models CLIS can increase students' understanding of concepts in materials science learning simple plane. Teachers are expected to assess and apply the learning model CLIS on other learning materials as well.
