Penelitian ini di latarbelakangi rendahnya hasil belajar siswa di kelas III SD pada mata Pelajaran IPA metode yang di gunakan guru masih menggunkan konvensional yaitu metode ceramah, hal ini di tunjukkan dari masih banyaknya peserta didik yang mendapatkan nilai kurang dari kreteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM). Hal tersebut terjadi karena metode pembelajaran yang di gunakan sangat kurang. Tindakan kelas yang di

lakukan oleh peneliti dengan penerapan metode mind map dalam pembelajaran IPA di

SD, adapun tujuan khusus penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan pembelajaran, mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA, dan mendeskripsikan

peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan penerapan metode Mind Map dalam pembelajaran

IPA di SD. Metode yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian Tindakan

Kelas model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yang terdiri dari perencanaan,

pelaksanaan,pengamatan, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus, penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas IIIB SDN X dengan jumlah peserta didik 33 orang. Yang terdiri dari 17 perempuan dan 16 laki-laki. Di pra siklus peneliti memberikan matari pembelajaran dengan materi sumber energi hanya 42% yang mencapai KKM dengan nilai rata-rata 57,

sedangkan di siklus I peneliti menggunakan penerapan metode mind map dalam

pembelajaran IPA dengan materi cara memelihara lingkungan dan melestarikan alam terjadi peningkatan sebanyak 78% dengan nilai rat-rata 67, dan pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan 100% yang tuntas dari 29 siswa yang hadir dengan nilai rata-rata 84, jadi

dapat di simpulkan bahwa penerapan metode Mind Map dalam pembelajaran IPA di SD

materi cara memelihara lingkungan dan melestarikan alam dapat menjadi salah satu

alternatif, metode pembelajaran di dalam kelas dimana metode mind map lebih baik

dengan pendekatan saintifik. Semoga penelitian ini bermanfaat bagi peneliti selanjutnya untuk menjadi bahan rujukan jika melakukan penelitian dengan penerapan metode

pembelajaran Mind Map dalam pembelajaran IPA maupun mata pelajaran yang lainnya.

This research in the developed of the low learning outcomes of students in the

third grade elementary school in science subjects teachers methods used are still

using the conventional lecture method, it is in the show from the number of

students who scored less than minimum completeness criteria (KKM). This

happens because the learning method that is used very less. Class actions

undertaken by researchers with the application of mind mapping method in

science teaching in primary schools, as for the specific purpose of this study aims

to describe the lesson plan, describe the implementation of learning science, and

describe the learning outcome of students with the application of the method Mind

Map in learning science in elementary school , The method used in this research is

classroom action research models and Mc Taggart Kemmis consisting of

planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This study consisted of two

cycles, the study was conducted in class IIIB SDN X the number of learners 33

people. Which consists of 17 women and 16 men. The pre-cycle researchers gave

of the method Mind Map in learning science in elementary matter how preserve

the environment and conserve natural may be one alternative learning methods in

the classroom where the method of the mind map better with scientific approach.

Hopefully this research useful for further research to be a reference material when

doing research with the application of learning methods
