Brethren,
It is hard to believe my year in office is coming to an end. I have to admit I was met with many challenges this year both personal and professional. Juggling my full time job to try and make each and every meeting proved difficult. I did my best to attend when possible…at times it just wasn’t within the length of my cable-tow. I have been amazed at what really goes on in the lodge this past year. It’s not just about coming to lodge, paying the bills, reading the mail etc. there is so much more behind the scenes. I cannot thank enough all the brothers that have helped me this year. It is without a doubt a huge group effort to keep the lodge running…each and everyone one of you plays a very important part. So THANK-YOU to each and every member of Pahrump Lodge 54 for your help and support this past year, it is definitely greatly appreciated.
Please continue to support our Lodge and our incoming Master and his officers. I have no doubt they will do an incredible job in 2013. Please make every effort to attend this
month’s stated meeting on Dec 13th. This will be when you,
the brethren elect your officers for 2013. Don’t forget to bring your 2012 dues card! Dinner will be salad, beef stew and french bread…bring your appetite too!
As we head into the holidays is it is time to reflect and be thankful for all that we have. We have all had some hiccups throughout the past year…let’s look forward to 2013 and make the very of it.

I missed the last meeting and am just catching up. I attended Grand Lodge
communication in Reno on Nov. 11 &12. There are some new things coming on line that will be good for the lodges. The Dec. stated meeting on the 13th
will be election for next year’s officers and (if
elected) I will announce the appointments for next years officers. Due to conflicts in schedules the installation of officers will have to be on Dec. 29, opening lodge at 2:00pm, installation to start approximately 2:30, dinner to follow between 3:30 and 4:00pm. I have been informed that the
grandmasters OV will be on January 17, (called comm) so please mark your calendar and let’s have a good turnout for Most Worshipful Mike Hoaglin Fraternally,

This has been a grand year for our Lodge and has been interesting with all the new faces that came into our Lodge hope they come and participate at the meetings in the New Year. For all those out there do not forget our next meeting Dec 13 it will be the last meeting of the year, looking forward to seeing you all. I cannot thank all the Brothers enough for all their help this past year. This next year I will be retiring so things are looking up to the future. I am looking forward to the day!! If you did not receive one, dues are $75 for the year. Please send them to my home address as listed in the Trestle-board. We have a few that did not remit Dues for 2012. We appreciate if you would look at your Dues receipt and those that say 2011 are a year in arrears.

How should a Masonic ring be worn?
There is no Masonic regulation governing the wearing of personal jewelry or
emblems. He who wears a ring for his own enjoyment or as a reminder will wish to wear the ring with the points of the compass toward his heart. However, emblems are worn for identification purposes and the wearer may wish to wear his ring with the points of the compass extending outward.
