KATA PENGANTAR
Publikasi Kota Probolinggo Dalam Angka 2021 diterbitkan untuk melengkapi kebutuhan pengguna informasi statistik. Publikasi ini merupakan publikasi tahunan Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Kota Probolinggo sebagai kelanjutan dari publikasi tahun sebelumnya. Data yang disajikan dalam publikasi ini menyajikan data hasil sensus dan survei yang dilaksanakan oleh BPS serta beberapa data sekunder yang berasal dari berbagai instansi pemerintah maupun swasta.
Publikasi ini memuat pula penjelasan tentang konsep dan definisi guna mempermudah pemahaman para pemakai data. Kami berharap semoga publikasi ini dapat memenuhi kebutuhan para pengguna data, baik untuk keperluan perencanaan dan melaksanakan pembangunan daerah serta berbagai kajian ilmiah.

Probolinggo Municipality in Figures 2021 was published to fulfill user needs on statistics. This publication is an annual publication of the Statistics of Probolinggo Municipality as a continuation of previous publication. The data and information presented in this publication contain census and survey data that was held by BPS also some secondary data from government institutions and private sector.
The publication also explains the concept and definition in order to help data user. Hopefully this publication would be benefit to the user for making planning and doing regional economic development also for scientific study.
Sincerely thank and great appreciation to all parties that helping and contributing, so that this publication can be issued, particularly to the institutions and private sector in Probolinggo Municipality. Finally, constructive suggestions are welcome for forward improvement.

PENJELASAN TEKNIS TECHNICAL NOTES 1. Secara astronomis, Kota
Probolinggo terletak antara 7o43’41’’ - 7o49’04’’ Lintang Selatan dan 113o10’ - 113o15’
Bujur Timur.
2. Berdasarkan posisi geografisnya, Kota Probolinggo memiliki batas- batas: Utara – Selat Madura;
Selatan – Kabupaten Probolinggo;
Barat – Kabupaten Probolinggo;
Timur – Kabupaten Probolinggo.
3. Berdasarkan letak geografisnya, Kota Probolinggo berada di daerah tapal kuda Provinsi Jawa Timur tepatnya di antara Kabupaten Probolinggo dan Selat Madura.
4. Kota Probolinggo terdiri dari 5 kecamatan, yaitu: Kecamatan Kademangan; Kecamatan Kedopok; Kecamatan Wonoasih;

Geografi
Kota Probolinggo merupakan dataran rendah dengan ketinggian 4-36 meter di atas permukaan laut, terletak pada posisi 7o43’41’’ - 7o49’04’’
Lintang Selatan dan 113o10’ - 113o15’
Bujur Timur. Luas wilayah Kota Probolinggo, adalah berupa daratan seluas 56,667 km2.
Wilayah administrasi Kota Probolinggo terdiri dari 5 wilayah kecamatan, dengan luas daratan masing-masing kecamatan, yaitu:
Kecamatan Kademangan (12,754 km2), Kecamatan Kedopok (13,624 km2), Kecamatan Wonoasih (10,981 km2), Kecamatan Mayangan (8,655 km2), dan Kecamatan Kanigaran (10,653 km2).
Berdasarkan elevasi (ketinggian dari permukaan laut), dataran di Kota Probolinggo terdiri dari:
0 m - 4 m = 18,80 % 4 m - 36 m = 81,20 %
Kecamatan Mayangan mempunyai ketinggian terendah dengan 0-4 meter di atas permukaan laut (DPL).

Geography
Probolinggo Municipality is an area with average high around 4-36 meters of sea surface, it is located between 7o43’41’’
- 7o49’04’’ south latitude, 113o10’ - 113o15’
east longitude. Probolinggo Municipality area is shaped in landby 56.667 km2.
Probolinggo Municipality is divided into five subdistrict, with the land area of subdistrict is Kademangan Subdistrict (12.754 km2), Kedopok Subdistrict (13.624 km2), Wonoasih Subdistrict (10.981 km2), Mayangan Subdistrict (8.655 km2), and 10.653 km2 of Kanigaran Subdistrict.

Kecamatan Wonoasih merupakan kecamatan dengan jarak terjauh yaitu 7,7 km, sedangkan Kecamatan Mayangan hanya berjarak 0,9 km dari pusat ibukota.
Wilayah Kota Probolinggo dialiri oleh 6 (enam) sungai, yaitu Kali Kedunggaleng, Umbul, Banger, Legundi, Kasbah dan Pancur. Rata-rata panjang aliran sungai 4,57 Km, yang terpanjang adalah Sungai Legundi dengan panjang aliran 7,42 Km dan yang terpendek adalah Sungai Kasbah dengan panjang aliran hanya 2,04 Km. Sungai-sungai tersebut mengalir sepanjang tahun, mengalir dari arah selatan ke utara sesuai dengan kelerengan wilayah.
Iklim
Dari 4 stasiun pengamatan hujan yang ada di Kota Probolinggo, terpantau hujan turun selama 11 bulan di sepanjang tahun 2020. Bulan Februari merupakan bulan dengan hari hujan terbanyak dan paling sedikit terjadi pada bulan Juni. Pada bulan September tidak ada hujan di Kota Probolinggo.
Wonoasih Subdistrict is a subdistrict with the longest distance is 7.7 km, while the Mayangan Subdistrict just 0.9 km from the center of the capital.
There are 6 (six) rivers flowing through Probolinggo Municipality with the average length of 4.57 km, namely Kedunggaleng, Umbul, Banger, Legundi, Kasbah, and Pancur River. The longest is Legundi River with 7.42 km in length, whereas the shortest is Kasbah River with only 2.04 km in length. All of these six rivers flow during the whole year, streaming northward from the south in accordance with the slopes of the land.
Climate
From 4 rain monitoring station in Probolinggo Municipality, rain drop in 11 months in 2020. February was the largest rainy days and June was the smallest.
There were no rain in September at Probolinggo Municipality.
