How to identify the scheduled wastes?

Identification of Scheduled Waste

These regulations may be cited as the Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005

Peraturan-peraturan ini boleh dinamakan sebagai Peraturan-peraturan Kualiti Alam Sekeliling Buangan Terjadual (2005)

Regulation 2 : Interpretation

• “Scheduled wastes” means any waste falling within the categories of waste listed in the First Schedule

“Buangan terjadual” bermaksud Apa-apa buangan yang termasuk dalam kategori buangan yang disenaraikan dalam Jadual Pertama

•“Waste generator” means any person who generates scheduled wastes.

“Pengeluar buangan ” ertinya mana-mana orang yang mengeluarkan buangan terjadual

• “Contractor "means any person licensed by the Director General of Environmental Quality under subsection 18 (1A) of the act

“Kontraktor” ertinya mana-mana orang yang dilesenkan oleh Ketua Pengarah Alam Sekeliling dibawah syeksen 18 (1A) Akta

Regulation 3 : Notification of the generation of SW

The waste generator must notify within 30 days from the date that any scheduled waste was first

generated (Second Schedule)

Pengeluar buangan perlu memberitahu dalam masa 30 hari dari tarikh buangan terjadual dihasillkan

Regulation 4 : Disposal of SW

Scheduled waste shall be disposed of at prescribed premises

Scheduled waste shall be rendered innocuous prior to disposal

Buangan terjadual hendaklah, setakat yang boleh dilaksanakan, dijadikan tidak berbahaya sebelum dilupuskan

Scheduled wastes to be excluded from being treated, recovered or disposed of at prescribed premises shall obtain approval for “special management”

Buangan terjadual yang boleh dikecualikan daripada diolah, dilupuskan atau

diperoleh kembali dipremis hendaklah mendapat kelulusan bagi pengurusan khas buangan terjadual

Regulation 8 : Responsibility of waste generator

Scheduled Waste shall be stored, treated, recovered in a proper manner

Buangan terjadual hendaklah distor diolah dan di peroleh dengan baik

Scheduled Waste shall be delivered and received safely at prescribed premises for treatment, disposal or recovery

Buangan terjadual hendaklah di hantar dan diterima dengan selamat di premis untuk diolah, dilupuskan dan di peroleh kembali

Scheduled Waste shall be packed, labeled and transported in accordance with prescribed guideline

Regulation 14 : Spill or accidental discharge

In the event of spill or accidental discharge, the contractor is responsible to inform the authority immediately, to do clean and study the impact due to the spill or discharge

Sekiranya berlaku tumpahan atau pelepasan tidak sengaja, kontraktor bertanggjawab memaklumkan kepada pihak berkuasa , membersihkan dan menjalankan kajian terhadap kesan tumpahan atau pelepasan

Waste generator to provide technical expertise to assist in the clean-up operation

Pengeluar buangan hendaklah mengeluarkan kepakaran teknikal dan bantuan sokongan dalam operasi pembersihan

Regulation 15 : Conduct of training

In the event of spill or accidental discharge, the contractor is responsible to Training to be provided by waste generator to all employees involved in scheduled waste management

Latihan perlu disediakan oleh pengeluar buangan kepada semua pekerja yang terlibat dalam pengurusan buanagn terjaudal

Training includes identification, handling, labelling, transportation and spillage

Latihan termasuklah pengenalpasti, mengurus, melabel, pengangkutan dan tumpahan.

Regulation 16 : Compounding of offences

In the event of spill or accidental discharge, the contractor is responsible to
