The Government of the rlepublic of Indonesia and the Gover11l'llent of the Polish People's Republic being desirous of extending trade relations between their respective countries have agreed as follows :
Article 1
The Contracting Parties will take all appropriate measures to promote trade between the two countries in all possiole ways in particular with regard to the items mentioned
in Lists I and II attached to this Agreement.
Article 2
Not;h.ing in this Agreement shall be deemed to preclude trade in goods or commodities not mentioned in said Lists or to a greater value or quantity than specified therein.
Both contracting Parties shall give due consideration to suggestions concerning the development of the mutual exchange of goods.

The Goverrunent of the Republic of Indonesia will endeavour to grant on application of Indonesian importers licences for the importation into the Republic of Indonesia of Polish goods as listed in the attached List II.
The Governrn.ent of t i1e .Polish People 1 s rlepublic will
grant on application of' Polis.l1 exporters licences for the exportation to the .rlepublic oi' Indonesia of Polish gooas as
listed in the attached List Ii.

grant on application of Indonesian exporters licences for the exportation to the Polish People's Republic of lndonesian goods as l i sted in the attached List I.
The Government of the Polish People's rlepublic will endeavour to grant on application of Polish importers licences for the importation into the Polish People's Hepublic oi'

The Contracting Parties agree tha.t the exchange o:r goods shall be subjected to and effected with in the scope of the general import/export regulations in force from time to time in each country.

----In order to facilitate the implementation of this Agreement the Contracting Parties agree to consult each other in respect of
any matters arisinL from or in connection with the supply of g oods or commodities between the two countries.
For this purpose they will form a Joint Committee which will meet on the request of either Party at a convenient date after
mutual consent not later thPn ｌｾＵ＠ days after the request to that; ef i'ec t has been made.

It is understood that pa.:.nnents arising out of the exchanse of g oods bet1.·reen the two countries shall be settled in accordance with the provisions of the Payments Agreement, concluded on this day .
Article
8
Transactions, concluded during the period of validity of the present Agreement and not executed or only partially executed at its
expiration, will be fulfilled in coforrnity with the provisions thereof,

This Agreement shall remain in 1'o::.•ce for a period of one year. In case neither of the Contracting Parties shall have given notice three nonths before the expiration of sai d period of its
intention to terminate the Agreement, it will by tac i t Dnderstanding
be prolonged each time for another period of one year.
For each subsequent year of the ve.lidi ty of the present Agreement the two Contracting Parties shall by mutual consent
establish new lists of goods, replacing Lists I and I I ｡ｴｴ｡｣ ｾＱ ･､＠ to the present Agreement.
Article 10
The pr·ovisions set .forth above shall be applied prov lsionally
as from May lst1
1953
