Annual Wages Tax Withholding Information Form
Due Date for Lodgement
Introduction
This is a designation notice issued by the Commissioner of the Timor-Leste Revenue Service (TLRS) under section 68 of UNTAET Regulation 2000/18 (as amended).
Section 31.4 of UNTAET Regulation 2000/18 (as amended) requires all persons (employers) who have withheld wage income tax under Section 30 of the Regulation to deliver to the Timor-Leste Revenue Service a completed annual wage income tax withholding information form by the last day of February following the end of the tax year to which it relates.
In the interest of efficient taxation administration and to ease the burden on taxpayers to comply with the requirements of the taxation legislation this Designation Notice designates that the due date for the
lodgement of the 2005 annual wage income tax withholding information form, and payment of any associated outstanding wage income tax, has been extended to 15 March 2006. This due date for lodgement of the annual wage income tax withholding information form is now consistent with the due date for lodgement of the 2005 Annual Income Tax Form.
Designation:
The due date for lodgement of the 2005 Annual Wage Income Tax Information Form for all persons who are required to lodge this form in accordance with Section 31.4 of UNTAET Regulation 2000/18 (as amended) is
extended to 15 March 2006. Persons who have an outstanding wage income tax payment to make may
deliver the form and payment to the Banco Nacional Ultramarino (BNU) in Dili. Persons who do not have an wage income tax payment to make may deliver their information form direct to the TLRS office in Dili, which is located in the Justice Building on the corner of Don Fernando and Jacinto de Candido Streets (west of the Lyceum), Baucau (Villanova St.) and Maliana (Holsa St.).
Taxpayers based outside Dili can deliver their wage income tax withholding information form to - - Baucau - present the form and payment to the BNU, Baucau Branch.
- Maliana – present the form and payment to the Government of Timor Leste District Finance Officer.
