Tinjauan Kritis terhadap Perancangan Kurikulum Pembinaan Pemuda Gereja Batak Karo Protestan

Pembinaan terhadap kaum muda merupakan tugas dan tanggung jawab Gereja. Dikarenakan pemuda adalah agen pelaksana tugas panggilan Gereja, sekaligus generasi penerus Gereja di masa depan. Tulisan ini mengungkapkan tinjauan kritis terhadap proses perancangan kurikulum pembinaan kategorial pemuda dalam Gereja Batak Karo Protestan (GBKP ). Pemuda dalam GBKP dikenal dengan sebutan Permata yang merupakan singkatan dari “Persadaan Man Anak Gerejanta” yang memiliki arti persatuan anak gereja kita.
Proses perancangan kurikulum Permata masih banyak kekurangan. Perancang kurikulum belum memperhatikan asas-asas kurikulum dengan seimbang, pendekata n-pendekatan yang digunakan belum bervariasi dan proses perancangan kurikulum belum juga dapat dikatakan efektif. Hal ini disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor penyebab, yakni perbedaan konteks jemaat, pendidikan, pekerjaan, dan perkembangan masyarakat. Oleh sebab itu, penulis mencoba mengkritisi berdasarkan teori pengembangan kurikulum, dengan tujuan agar menjadi masukan bagi GBKP untuk perkembangan pembinaan pemuda di masa mendatang.

Youth Ministry is an important thing that must be observed by the Church. Coaching of young people is the duty and responsibility of the Church. Because the youth is the managing agent duties and Church services, as well as the next generation of the Church in the future. This paper reveals a critical review of the curriculum design of youth ministry in the Gereja Batak Karo Protestan (GBKP). Youth in GBKP known as P ERMATA that stands for "Persadaan Man Anak Gerejanta" which means unity of our Church's children. The process of curriculum design are still many of lack. Curriculum designers did not have a balanced attention to the principles of the curriculum, the approaches used are also not vary, and curriculum design process also has not been effective. The curriculum designers forget to evaluate the curriculum design every year. The author think that is a severe fault. This is caused by a variety of factors, namely the causes of differences in the context of youth, education, employment, and community development. Therefore, the author tried to criticize the process of curriculum design of PERMATA, based on the theory of curriculum development, with the goal to become the input for the development of coaching for GBKP’s youth in the future.
