ESTABLISHMENT OF TEAM FOR EXAMINATION OF MANUALS AND GUARANTEE CARDS IN INDONESIAN FOR ELECTRONICS PRODUCTS
(Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 158/MPP/Kep/5/2000 dated May 12, 2000)
THE MINISTER INDUSTRY AND TRADE
Considering:
a. That in the framework of implementing Article 10 of the Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No.608/MPP/Kep/10/1999 on Manuals and Guarantee Cards in Indonesian for Electronic Products, it is necessary to set up a Team for Examination of Manual and Guarantee Cards in Indonesian for Electronics Products ;
b. That for that purpose, it is necessary to issue a Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade on the Republic of Indonesia.
In view of:
1. Law No. 5/1984 on Industry ;
2. Law No. 8/1999 on Protection for Consumers ;
3. Presidential Decree No. 355/M/1999 on the Formation of the cabinet for the period of 1999 – 2004 as already amended by the Presidential Decree No. 98/M/2000 ;
4. Presidential Decree No. 136/1999 on the Status, Duties, Functions, Organizational Structure and Working System of Ministries ;
5. Presidential Decree No. 17/2000 on Implementation of the State Budget ;
6. Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 444/MPP/Kep/9/1998 jo. No. 24/MPP/Kep/1/1999 on the Organization and Working System of the Ministry of Industry and Trade ;
7. Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 608/MPP/Kep/10/1999 on Manuals and Guarantee Cards in Indonesian for Electronics Products.

SECONDLY :
The Team for examination functions to exercise control over the implementation of the provision on the obligation to supplement electronics products with Manuals and Guarantee Cards in Indonesian For electronic production in Indonesia’s markets.
THIRDLY :
In performing the duty as referred to in SECOND Dictum, the Team establishes coordination with the Head of Regional Office, Ministry of Industry and Trade, of the local Province.
FOURTHLY :
In performing his duty, the Chairman of the Team for Examination is responsible and shall submit reports in writing to the Minister of Industry and Trade.
FIFTHLY :
The term of service of the Team for Examination is from April 24, 2000 up to December 31, 2000. SIXTHLY :
All expenses relating to the implementation of this Decree are charged to the Budget of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
SEVENTHLY :
This Decree shall come into force as from the date of stipulation and it shall be retroactively effective as from April 24, 2000.
