This final project is to fulfill the requirement in obtaining Degree of Diploma English Program. It is a report of job training activities that have been done by the writer in SD Negeri Ngombakan 02 Sukoharjo. In this final project, the writer describes the process of teaching English vocabulary using games and pictures.
The writer believes that this final project is far from being perfect. Any correction, suggestion, and criticism are expected to make it better. The writer hope this final project report can be useful for readers.

This final project was written based on the job training done by the writer in SD Negeri Ngombakan 02 Sukoharjo. This final project discusses about using games and pictures in teaching vocabularies to third grade students in this school. It describes the application of games and pictures in the process of teaching vocabulary and finds out the effectiveness and fun of using games and pictures in teaching vocabulary.
The class activities consist of three steps based on the lesson plan that was prepared before. They are: Warming up to introduce the new material so that the students interested in it and to give the chance for the students to express their opinion, Presentation in which the writer explained the material using pictures related to the material, production that was done by applying some vocabulary games to measure the students’ understanding about the material, and assessment that was done by giving evaluation to the students.
The writer found out that using games and pictures in teaching vocabularies is effective and fun for some reasons. They are: games and pictures keep the students’ concentration in learning something, games and pictures excite the students’ interest in learning the material, games and picture make the students easier in memorizing the material, games and pictures can help the teacher measure the students’ understanding in learning the material, games and pictures give the students opportunity to apply the material they have learned, and games and pictures can be applied to give practice for the students in all the skills.
