PENGARUH “EXERCISE” TERHADAP KADAR GLIKOGEN DAN LEMAK OTOT KELINCI YANG DIPELIHARA MENURUT

SISTEM PANGAN ORGANIK (SNI 01-6729-2010)

ABSTRAK

Penelitian telah dilaksanakan di kawasan pertanian organik Jaya Alam Lestari, Desa Cisondari Kecamatan Pasir Jambu Kabupaten Bandung pada tanggal 8 Februari sampai dengan 10 Maret 2013. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui durasi “exercise” yang memberi pengaruh terbaik terhadap kadar glikogen dan lemak otot. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental pada delapan belas ekor kelinci peranakan New Zealand White. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan tiga perlakuan P0 (kontrol), P1(3 jam “exercise”) dan P2 (6 jam “exercise”), setiap perlakuan diulang enam kali. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05) terhadap peningkatan kadar glikogen (P0 = 1,170%; P1 = 1,346%; P2 = 1,481%) dan penurunan lemak otot (P0 = 8,9056%; P1 = 8,1854%; P2 = 7,9292%). Durasi “exercise” tidak berpengaruh terhadap kadar glikogen dan lemak otot kelinci, namun terdeteksi adanya kecenderungan peningkatan terhadap kadar glikogen dan penurunan kadar lemak otot.

ABSTRACT

The research has been conducted at Jaya Alam Lestari, an organic farming area at Cisondari village of Pasir Jambu District in Bandung Regency, from February 8 to March 10, 2013. The purpose of this research is to study the duration of “exercise” on the levels of muscle glycogen and fat. The research uses experimental methods on eighteen New Zealand White rabbits. The completely randomized design was applied on three treatments, that were namely P0 (control), P1 (3 hour "exercise") and P2 (6 hours "exercise"), each treatment was repeated six times. It is showed that the treatment was not significantly (P> 0.05) increased the muscle glycogen levels (P0 = 1.170%; P1 = 1.346%; P2 = 1.481%) and was not either decreased the muscle fat level (P0 = 8.9056%; P1 = 8.1854%, P2 = 7.9292%) . However, it is noted that there was a trend of increased levels of muscle glycogen and decreased level of muscle fat.
