Profile of Clavicle Fracture in Polytrauma Patients in Emergency Room of RSUP Sanglah Denpasar From January 2013 until December 2014

Introduction
Clavicle fracture account for 2,6% to 12 % of all fractures. The focus of politrauma patients was targeted on life saving. 11-15% of upper extremity injuries were delayed diagnose.Clavicle fracture in politrauma patients sometimes undetected due to unconscious patients, less obvious in close fracture and not included in major cause of death. The aim of this study is to know the profile of polytrauma patients with clavicle fracture ofpolytrauma patient in RSUP Sanglahbetween January 2013-Desember 2014
Method
This study was descriptive retrospective and performed in Sanglah Hospital January 2013 until December 2014. Data was collected from trauma patient’s register in Emergency Room in Sanglah Hospital.
Result
In 2013 and 2014, 191 case of politrauma cases at Sanglah Hospital. The most common upper extremity injury were clavicle fracture (44%). Most gender was male (75%) with most common occurred on 31-40 year old (42%). The mechanism of injury mostly traffic accident (90 %). The type of clavicle fracture were classified according to Allman classification consist of Allman Group I (75%), Allman Group II (17,5%), Allman group III (7,5%). All the clavicle fracture were unilateral. Ribs fracture were found in 42 % of polytrauma cases with clavicle fracture. Cervical fracture were found in 22% of polytrauma cases with clavicle fracture.
Conclusion
Clavicle fracture cases should be diagnosed early and may be as a sign for further associated injury such as thoracic and cervical injury in polytrauma cases.
