Abstract:
Habermas did not develop an ethical discourse for interreligion dialogue. He was trying to develop the theory of communicative action and then discourse ethic. Discourse ethic come to solve the problems of plurality in general means; politics, socials, cultures, and laws. Habermas stated if religion comes to public sphere it must come into several challenges of modernity: (1) The plurality of religion and different views of life, (2) knowledge and science, (3) and
Rechtsstaat. Therefore, the religion must fi d its episte i positio ratio ality of faith because, only rational reasons used in public sphere and not the religious reason. The writer wants to focus on the first challenge, the plurality of religion and different views of life.
