pre-processing sampai tahap migration.

ABSTRACT
Seismic acquisition has been carried out in the Flores Sea, Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT), by the Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan Geologi Kelautan (PPPGL) in May 2012. This study was conducted to know the description and geological information below sea level by applying 2D multichannel seismic reflection. The resulting data of 20 trajectories, and then processed with the help of software ProMAX 2D. Data processing starting from pre-processing to stage migration. Stage migration is an important step in the processing sesismic, because at this stage the effects of diffraction and oblique reflectors caused by fault, salt domes, will be returned to the actual circumstances. One example of diffraction effects can be seen on the cross section of a conventional stacking that have not migrated, ie resulting in a bowtie reflector apparent in cross section. The diffraction effects are very difficult for the researchers in memperloeh geological information, so the need for further processing to overcome the effects. By using one of the methods contained in the method of Kirchhoff migration and carried out during the Pre-Stack Time Migration (PSTM), this method turns out to produce cross-sectional is much better than conventional stacked section. This is due to the method of Kirchhoff Pre-Stack Time Migration pressed early diffraction effects, so that the resulting cross-section is able to describe the geological structure of the Flores Sea surface (SMLF-12) more clean from diffraction effects.
