Tesis ini berjudul “Kajian Sosiologi Sastra terhadap Novel Galaksi Kinanthi Karya Tasaro GK dan Pemanfaatan Hasilnya untuk Bahan Ajar Sastra di
Madrasah Aliyah”. Novel memiliki hubungan yang erat dengan keadaan masyarakat, karena novel merupakan cermin masyarakat pada saat itu. Mengkaji sosiologi sastra novel dari segi karya ini, dapat mengetahui struktur novel yang menghubungkannya dengan aspek sosiologi yang terdapat di dalamnya.
Adapun rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah 1) Bagaimanakah struktur teks novel Galaksi Kinanthi karya Tasaro GK? 2) Aspek sosiologis apa saja yang terkandung dalam novel Galaksi Kinanthi karya Tasaro GK? 3) Bagaimana modul pembelajaran novel Galaksi Kinanthi karya Tasaro GK sebagai bahan ajar sastra Indonesia di Madrasah Aliyah?
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, adapun teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka dengan melakukan pencatatan data terhadap novel Galaksi Kinanthi karya Tasaro GK. Teknik studi pustaka adalah teknik yang menggunakan sumber-sumber tertulis untuk memperoleh data. Data diperoleh dalam bentuk tulisan, yang harus dibaca, disimak, hal-hal yang penting dicatat kemudian menyimpulkan dan mempelajari sumber tulisan yang dapat dijadikan sebagai landasan teori dan acuan dalam hubungan dengan objek yang akan diteliti.
Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa struktur novel Galaksi Kinanthi karya Tasaro GK dibangun oleh unsur intrinsik dan aspek sosiologisnya. Unsur intrinsik terdiri atas alur, tokoh dan penokohan, latar, sudut pandang, gaya, dan tema. Aspek sosiologis yang terkandung di dalamnya merupakan aspek yang digambarkan dalam unsur intrinsik, yaitu aspek ekonomi, adat-istiadat, tradisi, budaya, status sosial, agama, dan kepercayaan.
Hasil penelitian ini dapat disusun menjadi bahan ajar berupa modul pembelajaran apresiasi sastra bagi siswa Madrasah Aliyah.

ABSTRACT
This thesis entitled "The Study of Literature Sociology to the Novel Galaksi
Kinanthi Novel Written by Tasaro GK and Utilizing the Results Are for Teaching
Materials of Literature Appreciation in Madrasah Aliyah". The novel has a close relationship with the condition of society, because a novel is a kind of illustration or representation of society at that time. Studying the sociology of literature of the novel in terms of this work, can find out a novel structure that deals with sociological aspects contained therein.
The formulation of the problem in this research are 1) What is the structure of the novel text Galaksi Kinanthi written by Tasaro GK? 2) What are the sociological aspects which contained in the novel Galaksi Kinanthi witten by Tasaro GK? 3) How can learning modules of Galaksi Kinanthi novel written by Tasaro GK as teaching materials of Indonesian literature for Madrasah Aliyah?
This research uses qualitative descriptive method, while the data collecting technique in this research is studying the literature by recording the data on
Galaksi Kinanthi novel written by Tasaro GK. The technique study of literature is
a technique that uses written sources to obtain the data. The data is obtained in a written form, which must be read, listened to, noted the things that are important then summarize and learn the literary source that can be used as a theoretical basis and guidance in relation to the object to be studied.
The research concludes that the novel structure of Galaksi Kinanthi written by Tasaro GK consists of the intrinsic elements and the aspects of literature sociology. The Intrinsic element consists of plot, character and characterization, setting, point of view, styles, and themes. The sosiological aspects which contained there in is an aspect that is described in the intrinsic elements namely the economic, custom, traditions, culture, social status, religion, and belief.
The results of this research can be used for teaching materials in the form of literary appreciation learning modules for students of Madrasah Aliyah.
