ABSTRAK
Pelaksanaan asuhan keperawatan yang tidak optimal dapat disebabkan diantaranya oleh faktor beban kerja dan stress kerja. Hasil survei pendahuluan di RSU Melati Perbaungan menunjukkan sistem penetapan rotasi kerja rumah sakit yang masih belum konsisten, terdapat perawat yang melakukan kegiatan diluar tugas pokok dan 80% perawat menyatakan kondisi lingkungan menurunkan semangat bekerja dan masih ditemui 75% perawat yang belum optimal melaksanakan asuhan perawatan kepada pasien.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis hubungan beban kerja dan stres kerja dengan kinerja perawat pelaksana di ruang rawat inap RSU Melati Perbaungan tahun 2012. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan cross sectional terhadap seluruh perawat pelaksana (43 orang) di ruang rawat inap. Data dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner dan dianalisis dengan uji statistik korelasi Product Moment Pearson.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara beban kerja dan stres kerja dengan kinerja dengan tingkat signifikan dan koefisien korelasi yang bervariasi.
Asuhan keperawatan yang maksimal merupakan indikator keberhasilan pelayanan rumah sakit, penyesuaian tugas pokok perawat, sistem rotasi kerja dan supervisi terjadwal untuk memperhatikan kesejahteraan dan menjalin komunikasi antara karyawan dan atasan perlu mendapat perhatian khusus dari pihak stakeholder RSU Melati Perbaungan.

ABSTRACT
The non-optimal implementation of nursing care can be caused by the factors of workload and work-stress. The preliminary survey conducted at RSU Melati, Perbaungan, indicated that the system of regulating job rotation in the hospital was not consistent since there were nurses who did their job outside their primary task and 80% of them claimed that the environment decreased their morale.
The aim of the research was to analyze the correlation between workload and work-stress and the nurses on duty’s performance in the inpatient wards at RSU Melati, Perbaungan, in 2012. The research used cross sectional design on all 43 nurses in the inpatient wards. The data were gathered by distributing questionnaires and analyzed by correlation statistic test of Product Moment Pearson.
The result of the research showed that there was a significant correlation between workload and work-stress and performance with varied levels of significance and correlation.
A maximal nursing care as the indicators of the success in a hospital’s service, in the adjustment of nurses’ primary task, in job rotation, and in scheduled supervision in order to take care of the employees’ welfare and to make the communication between employees and their superior closer should get special attention from the stakeholders of RSU Melati, Perbaungan.
