Pendahuluan
•
Hampir semua proses kimia memerlukan pemisahan zat
kimia (komponen), untuk :
Memurnikan umpan

•
Seringkali, biaya investasi utama dan biaya operasi proses
akan berkaitan dengan peralatan pemisahan
•
Untuk campuran biner, dimungkinkan untuk memilih
metode pemisahan yang dapat memenuhi tugas pemisahan
dalam satu alat.
•
Lebih umum, campuran umpan melibatkan sistem pemisahan
yang lebih kompleks.

• Tidak seperti pencampuran spontan zat kimia, pemisahan
campuran bahan kimia memerlukan beberapa bentuk energi
Pengenalan kedalam sistem fasa fluida kedua (MSA – mass separating agent).

Seleksi Metode Pemisahan
• Pengembangan proses pemisahan membutuhkan pemilihan :
Metode pemisahan (separation methods) Agen pemisahan (ESAs and/or MSAs)
• Pemilihan
metode pemisahan
tergantung pada kondisi umpan:
• Vapor Partial condensation, distillation, absorption, adsorption, gas permeation (membranes)
• Liquid Distillation, stripping, LL extraction, supercritical extraction, crystallization, adsorption, and dialysis or reverse osmosis (membranes)
I I C
C
SF 1 / 2 C =variable composition,I, II = phases rich in components 1 (8.1)
Seleksi Metode Pemisahan
II II C C C C SF 2 1 2 1 / /
I, II = phases rich in components 1 (8.1) and 2.
(8.2), (8.3)
1 1 1 1 1 2
2 2 2 2
for ideal L and V
s
, s
y / x K P
SF
• Untuk operasi pemisahan uap-cair yang menggunakan MSA
yang menyebabkan pembentukan larutan cairan non-ideal
(misalnya distilasi ekstraktif):
(8.5) s L s L P P SF 2 2 1 1 2 , 1
Seleksi Metode Pemisahan
s LP 2 2 2 , 1
β, dimana:
I I II II SF 2 1 2 1 2 , 1 / / (8.6)• Secara umum, MSA untuk distilasi ekstraktif dan ekstraksi

Urutan Kolom Distilasi Biasa
• Gunakan urutan kolom
distilasi biasa
untuk memisahkan
campuran multikomponen jika tersedia:
pada setiap kolom > 1.05. Beban reboiler tidak berlebih.
Tekanan kolom tidak menyebabkan campuran mendekati titik kritis TC Tekanan kolom tidak menyebabkan campuran mendekati titik kritis TC
campuran.
Jumlah Urutan Kolom Distilasi Biasa (DB)

Pisahkan produk akhir satu demi satu sebagai distilat (the direct sequence). Sequence separation points to remove, early in the sequence, those
components of greatest molar percentage in the feed.
Sequence separation points in the order of decreasing relative volatility so that the most difficult splits are made in the absence of other components.
Sequence separation points to leave last those separations that give the highest purity products.
Sequence separation points that favor near equimolar amounts of distillate and bottoms in each column. The reboiler duty should not be excessive.

Complex Columns
ESI = AB/ BC
Region Optimality
Sequencing V-L Separation

kemungkinan urutan diberikan dg persamaan:

• So, pemisahan yg hrs dipertimbangkan dg semua batasan adalah : (A/B…)I,
Estimasi Biaya Tahunan
