Dengan memanjatkan puji syukur kehadirat Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, saya menyambut gembira atas diterbitkannya Buku “CILACAP DALAM ANGKA 2012” oleh Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Kabupaten Cilacap. Buku ini merupakan publikasi yang diterbitkan secara rutin setiap tahun yang berisikan beragam informasi statistik tentang Kabupaten Cilacap.
Buku ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan sebagai alat untuk melakukan evaluasi dan perencanaan pembangunan serta mendukung program pembangunan daerah yang sedang dilaksanakan seperti program “Bangga Mbangun Desa”. Saya berharap informasi statistik yang tersedia dalam Buku ini dapat dimanfaatkan bukan hanya oleh Pemerintah Daerah, tetapi juga oleh seluruh lapisan masyarakat, khususnya pihak-pihak yang terlibat dalam pembangunan daerah di Kabupaten Cilacap.
Semoga Buku ini dapat memberikan manfaat yang optimal bagi pelaksanaan pembangunan di Kabupaten Cilacap. Semoga Tuhan Yang Maha Kuasa senantiasa meridhoi langkah kita.

Thanks to God Almighty, I receive with open arms the publishing of Book " CILACAP IN FIGURES 2012" by BPS-Statistics of Cilacap Regency. This book is an annual publication which’s contain various statistical information about Cilacap Regency.
This book expected able to be made as a means of evaluation and development planning and supports region development program is being executed like program " Bangga Mbangun Desa". I hope statistical information which is available in this Buku can be exploited not merely by Local Government, but also by others, especially who’s involved in regional development of Cilacap Regency.
We hope this Book can give optimal benefit to the execution of region development in Cilacap Regency. Hopefully God Almighty always bless us.

KATA PENGANTAR
Buku ”Cilacap Dalam Angka 2012” merupakan publikasi statistik tahunan yang berisi beragam informasi statistik mengenai Kabupaten Cilacap hasil kerjasama antara Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Daerah (BAPPEDA) Kabupaten Cilacap dengan Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Kabupaten Cilacap.
Penyusunan Buku “Cilacap Dalam Angka 2012” dimaksudkan sebagai salah satu sarana informasi untuk memberikan gambaran kepada masyarakat sejauh mana program pembangunan di Kabupaten Cilacap telah dilaksanakan. Selain itu informasi statistik yang ada pada Buku ini diharapkan dapat menjadi pedoman bagi Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Cilacap dalam melakukan evaluasi dan penyusunan program pembangunan di masa yang akan datang.

PREFACE
This Book of " Cilacap in Figures 2012" is an annual publication containing various statistical information about Cilacap Regency as a result of collaboration between Regional Development Planning Board (BAPPEDA) of Cilacap Regency with BPS-Statistics of Cilacap Regency.
Compilation of Book " Cilacap in Figures 2012" meant as one of supporting tool of information to give picture to public how far development program in Cilacap Regency has been executed. Statistical information in this Book also expected able to become guidance for Local Government of Cilacap Regency in doing evaluation and compilation of development program in the future.
To all partys which have assisted compilation of this book, we would like to thanks. Hopefully this publication can be useful and give benefit for all stakeholders and others who concern to Cilacap’s development.

Cilacap Dalam Angka 2012 adalah publikasi statistik tahunan dan merupakan kelanjutan dari publikasi sebelumnya. Publikasi ini disusun atas kerja sama BPS Kabupaten Cilacap dengan Bappeda Kabupaten Cilacap.
Informasi statistik yang dimuat dalam publikasi ini merupakan data tahun 2011 dan sebagian lagi data tahun 2012 dengan menyajikan series data selama beberapa tahun untuk data-data tertentu. Data yang disajikan meliputi informasi mengenai keadaan geografi, pemerintahan, kependudukan, ketenagakerjaan, pendidikan, data sosial lainnya, pertanian, industri, energi, perdagangan, koperasi, transportasi, komunikasi, hotel, pariwisata, keuangan, perbankan, harga-harga dan produk domestik regional bruto.

Cilacap in Figures 2012 is an annual publication of statistic data and continuous of previous. This publication published in coordination between BPS- Statistics of Cilacap and Regional Development Planning Board Cilacap Regency.
This Book contains statistical information with majority data from year 2011 and some of them from year 2012 by series for some of specific data. Information which are published consist of geographical data, government, population, employment, education, others social data, agriculture, industry, energy, trade, cooperation, transportation, communication, hotel, tourism, finance, banking, prices and gross domestic regional product.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to His Excellency the Resident of Cilacap for providing the guidance, also to the Head of Regional Development Planning Board Cilacap Regency and to all the public and private institutions, who give data support and information for this publication.
Hopefully, this publication can fulfill requirement of statistical, for government institution, private sector, academician, and others user.
