Abstrak

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masalah yang terdapat dalam

pembelajaran menulis teks eksposisi, antara lain siswa masih kesulitan

menyampaikan argumen, tidak menyertakan fakta untuk menguatkan

argumennya, serta kesulitan menata ide menjadi tulisan secara runtut,

logis serta menggunakan kaidah yang benar. Sebagai upaya mengatasi

masalah tersebut, peneliti menerapkan model pembelajaran proyek dalam

pembelajaran memproduksi teks eksposisi.

Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian

tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIA 6 SMA

Negeri 11 Bandung tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Data dalam penelitian ini

diperoleh dengan menggunakan instrumen tes kemampuan siswa,

wawancara, angket, observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa, dan jurnal siswa.

Prosedur penelitian ini, yaitu merencanakan tindakan sebelum penelitian,

melaksanakan tindakan, dan merefleksikan.

Selama tiga kali siklus penelitian yang dijalankan, terjadi

peningkatan hasil belajar siswa serta nilai aktivitas siswa dan guru dalam

pembelajaran.

Pembelajaran proyek yang dilakukan dengan perencanaan

yang baik, penyusunan jadwal dan pembagian kerja yang matang,

dapat membantu meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam memproduksi

teks eksposisi.

Abstract

This study was conducted based on the issues in writing exposition

text, such as difficulty in conveying the argument, without include related

facts to strengthen his/her argument, lack in optimizing learning

resources, and difficulty in organizing ideas to write coherently and

logically in line with the principles of writing. This study seeks to improve

students' exposition text writing skills by applying project based learning.

The statements of problem in this study are how to plan the lesson, how

the learning process takes place, and the result of learning process which

implemented project based learning in wrtiting exposition text. Based on

the statements of problem above, the aims of this study are describe the

process of lesson planning, how to conduct the learning process, and the

result of the learning process which implemented project based learning in

wrtiting exposition text.

The method used was classroom action research. The study was

conducted in SMA 11 Bandung. Subjects in this study were 40 students of

class X MIA 6. The data from this study were collected by using several

instruments such

as a test for measuring students’ language

proficiency,

interview, questionnaire, class observation, and students

journal. An
