3.3.8 Input Beban Gempa Rencana
3.3.8.2 Berat Bangunan
ETABS dapat dengan cepat dan akurat menentukan berat bangunan. Untuk mendapatkan berat bangunan dari output ETABS, harus melakukan langkah berikut.
Pilih semua pelat lantai pada model. Pelat dapat dipilih dengan cara klik satu
persatu, tetapi cara ini akan memakan waktu yang lebih lama. Atau dengan
cara cepat dengan cara pilih menu select, by Wall/Slab/Deck sections. Pilih slab
120. Maka semua slab 120 setiap lantai akan terpilih.
Setelah semua pelat terpilih, pilih menu assign, shell/area, rigid diaphragm. Pilih D1 dan klik OK. Maka akan muncul gambar seperti jaring laba-laba, menandakan bahwa pelat lantai sudah ditentukan sebagai diafragma. Lihat gambar 22.

Hal ini untuk memerintahkan ETABS agar memperlakukan pelat yang di modelkan sebagai lantai diafragma yang kaku. Dan ETABS akan dapat melakukan perhitungan berat bangunan keseluruhan dari pelat dan beban yang bekerja padanya.
Selanjutnya jalankan ETABS, pilih menu analyze, set analysis options. Maka
akan muncul pop up seperti pada gambar 23.

Klik gambar di bawah tulisan full 3D. Kosongkan semua pilihan dynamic analysis, include P-delta, save access DB file. Klik OK. Pilih lagi menu analyze, run analysis. Pilih metode run minimized. Setelah proses selesai, klik OK untuk menutup.
Untuk dapat melihat hasil yang diinginkan, yaitu berat total bangunan. Langkah selanjutnya adalah merubah unit satuan menjadi kg-m. Pilih menu file, print tables, analysis output. Maka akan muncul pop up seperti pada gambar 24.

Kosongkan semua pilihan, kecuali hanya building output dan print to file. Tekan select loads untuk menentukan beban yang diinginkan. Pilih beban dead dan live. Artinya beban mati struktur dan beban hidup saja yang diperhitungkan.
Kemudian tekan browse untuk memberi nama dan lokasi file untuk outputnya.
Sebagai contoh file dinamai berat.txt untuk kemudahan. Klik save. Klik OK.
Kemudian pilih menu file, display input/output text files, pilih file berat.txt. maka file berat.txt akan terbuka. Pada file ini ditunjukkan nama file, satuan yang digunakan (perhatikan pada file ini satuan yang digunakan sudah dalam unit satuan kg-m), tanggal dan waktu output dibuat, dan data output yang dihasilkan. Untuk menambah data-data tentang proyek agar bisa ditampilan pada output, klik menu File, Modify/Show Project Information. Pada form yang muncul bisa diisikan nama perusahaan, nama proyek, nomer proyek, nomer revisi, dll, yang diperlukan. Klik OK untuk menutup form.
Building Output terdiri dari Centres of Cumulative Mass and Centres of Rigidity, Story Forces dan Tributary Area and Reduced Live Load Factores.
