This research has provided interesting insight into the provision of library services to distance education students. While answering many questions, and opening up additional avenues for continued research, it has also offered an insight into how research data might be gathered via electronic means.
Technology has had a continued effect of blending beyond borders. From the classroom, to the library, to home, and to work, academia is continually pushing the envelope in terms of access and communication. Teachers and librarians, now more than ever, must make a concerted effort to work
together in meeting the needs of today’s ‘‘tech savvy’’ students. At the same time, we must realize that students need more help than they care to admit or at least more than they voice. The more services that are offered, the more that technology can provide, the more guidance is needed.
