6. LABORS
Based the data of National Labor Force Survey (NLFS) February 2016 as presented in Table 6.1a and Tabel 6.1c, number of agri- cultural labors was 38,291,111 persons (31.74 percent of total labors in 2016). In 2017, it increased by 3.62 percent from the previous year to 39,678,453 persons (31.86 percent of total labors in 2017). In 2018 it decreased by 2.46 percent from the previous year to 38,700,530 persons (30.46 percent of total labors in 2018). The NLFS Data for August has been steadily de- creasing from 2016 to 2018. In August 2016 (Tabel 6.1b and Tabel 6.1c), number of agricultural labors was 37,770,165 per- sons (31.90 percent of total labors in 2016). In 2017 it de- creased by 4.89 percent from the total in 2016 to 35,923,886 persons (29.68 percent of total labors in 2017). Further, in 2018 it decreased by 0.61 percent from the total in 2017 to 35,703,074 persons (28.79 percent of total labors in 2018).
Based on the data presented in Table 6.2a and Table 6.2b, seems that the largest composition of agricultural labors was in agricultural group in narrow sense. In 2018, total labors in this group based on data of NLFS 2018 (February) was 35,875,389 persons (92.70 percent of total agricultural labors) and based on data of NLFS 2018 (August) was 33,106,115 persons (92.73 percent of total agricultural labors).
From the composition of agricultural labors in narrow sense in 2018 (Table 6.3a and Table 6.3b), the most labors are in food crop agricultural sub sector. Based on data of NLFS February 2018, total labors in this sub sector was 16,711,353 persons (46.58 percent of total agricultural sector labors in narrow sense), followed by plantation sub sector labors 11,045,432 per- sons (30.79 percent). Labors in livestock sub sector was 4,831,211 persons (13.47 percent) and followed by horticultural sub sector was 3,287,393 persons (9.16 percent). If grouped by gender, the labors in livestock sub sector in 2018 was dominated by male labors amounting 2,913,832 persons (60.31 percent), while the composition of female labors amounting 1,917,379 persons (39,69 percent).
If grouped by province (Table 6.4a and Table 6.4b), the largest livestock labors in 2018 was in the East Java Province, that was 1,932,113 persons (NLFS February) and 1,963,317 persons (NLFS August). While the smallest livestock labors base on the data of NLFS February 2018 was in DKI Jakarta Province (no livestock labors) and base on the data of NLFS August 2018 was in North Maluku Province, namely 492 persons.
If the livestock sub sector labors are grouped by educational level (Table 5.5a and Table 6.5b), in 2018, the elementary school graduated livestock labors were still quite dominant. Based on data of NLFS February 2018, labors in this educational group were 1,724,879 persons (35.70 percent of the total livestock sub sector labors). Meanwhile, based on data of NLFS August 2018, the elementary school graduated livestock sub sector labors were 1,610,057 persons (33.78 percent of total livestock sub sector labors).
From the data in Table 6.6a and Table 6.6b, seems that the live- stock sub sector labors were dominated by older age groups (60 years old and up). The data of NLFS February 2018 showed that

berusia 60 tahun ke atas sebanyak 1.069.641 orang (22,14 per- sen dari total tenaga kerja sub sektor peternakan). Sementara berdasarkan data Sakernas Agustus 2018, tenaga kerja pada kelompok ini sebanyak 1.132.175 orang (23,75 persen dari total tenaga kerja sub sektor peternakan).
Jika tenaga kerja sub sektor peternakan dikelompokkan ber- dasarkan status pekerjaan utama (Tabel 6.7a dan Tabel 6.7b), pada tahun 2018 pekerja keluarga/tidak dibayar masih cukup dominan. Berdasarkan data Sakernas Februari 2018, pekerja keluarga/tidak dibayar sebanyak 1.772.389 orang (36,69 persen dari total tenaga kerja sub sektor peternakan). Sementara itu berdasarkan data Sakernas Agustus 2018, pekerja keluarga/
tidak dibayar sebanyak 1.736.149 orang (36,43 persen dari total tenaga kerja sub sektor peternakan).
PENJELASAN TEKNIS
1. Data diperoleh dari BPS (Survei Angkatan Kerja Nasional bu- lan Agustus), publikasi oleh Pusat Data dan Sistem Informasi Pertanian, Kementerian Pertanian.
2. Penduduk usia kerja adalah penduduk berumur 15 tahun ke atas.
3. Penduduk yang termasuk angkatan kerja adalah penduduk usia kerja (15 tahun ke atas) yang bekerja, atau punya pekerjaan namun sementara tidak bekerja dan pengangguran.
4. Penduduk yang termasuk bukan angkatan kerja adalah penduduk usia kerja (15 tahun ke atas) yang masih sekolah, mengurus rumah tangga atau melaksanakan kegiatan lainnya selain kegiatan pribadi.
5. Bekerja adalah kegiatan ekonomi yang dilakukan oleh seseorang dengan maksud memperoleh atau membantu memperoleh pendapatan atau keuntungan, paling sedikit 1 jam (tidak terputus) dalam seminggu yang lalu. Kegiatan tersebut termasuk pula kegiatan pekerja tak dibayar yang membantu dalam suatu usaha/kegiatan ekonomi.
6. Sektor pertanian dalam arti sempit meliputi subsektor tanaman pangan, hortikultura, peternakan, dan perkebunan.
7. Sektor pertanian lainnya meliputi perikanan, kehutanan, perburuan, dan lainnya.
8. Sektor pertanian dalam arti luas meliputi sektor pertanian dalam arti sempit dan sektor pertanian lainnya.

TECHNICAL EXPLANATION
1. Data were obtained from BPS (National Labor Force Survey August) published by Center for Data and Information System for Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture.
2. Working age population is persons of 15 years old and over.
3. Labor force is persons of 15 years old and over whom in the previous week were working, temporarily absent from work but having jobs, or those who did not have work and were looking for work.
4. Not in the labor force is persons aged 15 years and over, but not classified in the labor force, such as students, housekeepers, or others exclude personal activity.
5. Working is an activity done by a person who worked for pay or assisted others in obtaining pay or profit for the duration at least one hour during the survey week. Include an unpaid worker who help an economically activity/business.
6. Agricultural sector in narrow sense includes the food crops, horticulture, livestock, and plantation subsector.
7. Other agricultural sectors include fishery, forestry, hunting, and others.
8. Agricultural sector in broad sense includes agricultural sector in narrow sense and other agricultural sector.
