1. Pewadahan terpisah sesuai jenis makanan dan memiliki penutup
2. Memperhatikan kadar air pada makanan agar dicampur kuahnya sesaat sebelum dihidangkan
3. Memastikan makanan yang disajikan aman dan dapat dimakan tanpa ada pencemar fisik
4. Menyajikan makanan yang seharusnya panas agar tetap panas 5. Alat makan yang digunakan senantiasa bersih
6. Tidak kontak dengan tubuh ketika menangani makanan maupun alat makan terutama tangan dan bibir agar terhindar dari pencemaran dan memberi kesan sopan, baik, dan rapi.
Praktik keamanan makanan di tempat wisata tidak hanya menjadi tanggung jawab penjual atau pengolah makanan saja, namun juga tanggung jawab bersama baik pengelola tempat wisata maupun regulasi dari pemerintah. Keamanan makanan dapat terlaksana jika pengelola tempat wisata benar-benar memperhatikan fasilitas. Adapun regulasi dari pemerintah akan berguna untuk memberikan kejelasan hukum dan penanganan dalam keamanan makanan.

BIODATA PENULIS
Asep Rustiawan lahir tahun 1962 di Sukabumi Jawa Barat. Menyelesaikan sekolah dasar di SDN Lapangan Masjid Manggarai Jakarta Selatan dan sekolah lanjutan tingkat pertama di SMPN III Manggarai Jakarta Selatan. Pendidikan SLTA ditempuh di Sekolah Pertanian Menengah Atas Negeri Bogor (SPMAN Bogor), lulus tahun 1981. Melanjutkan
studi ke IPB dan lulus sebagai dokter hewan tahun 1987. Pada tahun 1992 lulus sebagai Master Sain (MS) pada jurusan Pengelolaan Sumberdaya Alam dan Lingkungan Sekolah Pasca Sarjana IPB. Saat ini tiggal di Yogyakarta dan bekerja sebagai dosen pada Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Ahmad Dahlan Yogyakarta.
Dyah Suryani lahir pada tahun 1981 di Yogyakarta. Menyelesaikan pendidikan dari SD-SLTA di Yogyakarta.
Menempuh S1 Prodi Biologi Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta lulus tahun 2003, kemudian melanjutkan S2 di Fakultas Kedoktean Universitas Gadjah Mada Lulus Tahun 2004, dan melanjutkan S3 di FKKMK UGM dengan topik disertasi Keamanan Makanan di Kantin Sekolah Dasar lulus tahun 2018. Aktivitas selama ini bekerja sebagai Dosen Tetap di Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, dengan bidang keilmuan kesehatan lingkungan, higiene sanitasi makanan dan keamanan makanan.
