5. Starting students speaking

Read your joy as. Instead of reflecting his thoughts, feel the feelings as excitement. Students love to cast this vote and having the opportunity to share their thoughts and views knowledge on a subject. Speak with confidence. Fear of public speaking is one of the most frequent phobias, although many people conceal their fear such that they are unaware of it. Do not inform the audience that the students are on high alert or anxious. If other students perceive students will feel more confident and optimistic if you are confident and positive. Look for friendly faces among other students. While many people think making eye contact will worry them, it doesn't lessen it. Just look for some friendly faces in the throng and fantasize being in touch with them. Let their smile cheer up the whole talk. Remove the error. Don't be on top of mistakes. Students You might mispronounce something or fumble over a few phrases, but don't let that stop you. The majority of the audience would not even notice. Set reasonable goals for yourself. If you make a mistake, don't blame yourself.

SELATAN

1. Question: Do you have a problem in learning Speaking related to student Anxiety?

Apakah dalam pembelajaran Speaking, Ibu/Bapak mengalami kendala terkait dengan Kecemasan siswa?

Answer: While teaching English, especially Speaking, there must be obstacles, such as students who sometimes do not understand, are embarrassed and lack motivation, limited scheduled time, insufficient resources and materials, and excess students in each class are often obstacles

for teachers in teaching English as a foreign language. However, teachers must also use their creativity to respond to the limitations and obstacles that arise from their students in order to minimise obstacles that contribute to confusion in the learning process of teaching English in the classroom.

Selama mengajar bahasa Inggris, khususnya Speaking, pasti ada kendala, seperti siswa yang terkadang tidak mengerti, merasa malu dan kurang motivasi, waktu terjadwal yang terbatas, sumber daya dan materi yang tidak mencukupi, serta kelebihan siswa di setiap kelas seringkali menjadi kendala bagi guru dalam mengajar bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa asing. Namun, guru juga harus

menggunakan kreativitasnya untuk merespon keterbatasan dan hambatan yang muncul dari siswanya agar dapat meminimalisir hambatan yang berkontribusi pada kebingungan dalam proses pembelajaran mengajar bahasa Inggris di kelas.

2. Question: What is the problem?

Apa saja kendala tersebut?

Answer: Getting difficulty to recall words or to respond to other people and feeling anxiety when the teacher asks to speak in English of common problems faced by the students in English speaking activities. Anxiety is a feeling of getting in a situation that is threatening or difficult. Students who do not understand English, Students find the

Ing-gris language difficult. Students have a limited vocabulary, Do not know how to use grammar.

Mendapatkan kesulitan untuk mengingat kata- kata atau untuk menanggapi orang lain dan merasa cemas ketika guru meminta untuk berbicara dalam bahasa Inggris tentang masalah umum yang dihadapi oleh siswa dalam kegiatan berbahasa Inggris. Kecemasan adalah perasaan berada dalam situasi yang mengancam atau sulit. Siswa yang kurang memahami Bahasa Inggris, Siswa menganggap Bahasa Inggris itu sukar dan sulit, Siswa memiliki kosa kata yang terbata, tidak tahunya penggunaan grammar.

3. Question: What did you do to overcome these problems?

Apa yang Ibu/Bapak lakukan untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut?

Answer: Since the purpose of language is to communicate, then you must learn to communicate your point verbally in the language English. The key is trying to make the other person understand what you are saying in English first. After getting used to conversing in English, you will automatically learn to improve the grammar you use in speaking. There are several ways to overcome the difficulty of learning English, namely:

a.) Create a comfortable environment and support the first thing you have to deal with is to

improve the learning environment. You have to create a learning environment that is really comfortable and supportive to learn english.

lest you study in an environment that actually makes you depressed.

b.) Never be lazy to memorise vocabulary.

c.) One new vocabulary means the more vocabulary you get, the easier it is for you students to be able to communicate, therefore multiply memorise vocabulary.

d.) Familiarise yourself with English starting with English with daily life like it's the case when you talk to friends, make it a habit to use English or arrange your study schedule using English.

e.) Having to practise regularly means getting used to always practising yourself wherever you can practice yourself through the mirror.

Karena tujuan bahasa adalah untuk berkomunikasi, maka Anda harus belajar mengkomunikasikan maksud Anda secara verbal dalam bahasa tersebut Inggris.

Kuncinya adalah mencoba membuat orang lain memahami apa yang Anda katakan dalam bahasa Inggris terlebih dahulu.

Setelah terbiasa berbicara dalam bahasa Inggris, Anda akan secara otomatis belajar untuk meningkatkan tata bahasa yang Anda gunakan dalam berbicara. Ada beberapa cara mengatasi kesulitan belajar bahasa Inggris yaitu:

a) Ciptakan lingkungan yang nyaman dan mendukung hal pertama yang harus kamu

benahi adalah memperbaiki lingkungan belajar. kamu harus menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang benar-benar nyaman dan mendukung untuk belajar bahasa inggris. jangan sampai kamu belajar di lingkungan yang justru membuat kamu tertekan.

b) Jangan pernah malas menghafal kosa kata.

c) Satu kosa kata baru artinya semakin banyak kosa kata yang diperoleh semakin mudah bagi pelajar untuk bisa berkomunikasi, oleh sebab itu perbanyaklah menghafal kosa kata

d) Biasakan diri dengan bahasa Inggris awali bahasa inggris dengan hidup keseharian seperti halnya ketika anda bercakap dengan temannya biasakan pake bahasa

inggris atau susunlah jadwal belajar dengan menggunakan bahasa Inggris e) Harus rutin praktik artinya biasakan diri

untuk selalu berlatih diri dimana saja bisa berlatih diri melalui cermin.

4. Question: What causes or behind these problems?

Apa yang melatarbelakangi/menyebabkan kendala tersebut?

Answer: 1) Self-consciousness in front of large groups. This is the most frequently named reason for performance anxiety. Speech coaches often hear: "I'm fine talking to small groups, but when it's a large audience I get really anxious." Two strategies will help: (a) Remember that the people in a big audience are the same ones you talk to individually, and (b) Concentrate on just

talking to them, not "presenting". You'll be at your best.

2) Fear of appearing nervous. Do you fear that you'll look fearful? Many speakers do. It's easy, then, to believe that if the audience sees those nerves, they'll think you don't know your topic. But of course the two aren't linked. When you see that a speaker is nervous, don't you sympathise, rather than making a judgement on that person's professionalism? If anything, your audience will extend you sympathy not resistance.

3) Concern that others are judging you.

The tough-love message here is that people really don't care about you. They're in the audience to get something out of your lecture, presentation, or speech. They want

their time to be well spent. Watching a speaker fail is embarrassing for everyone.

So the audience is actually pulling for you!

4) Past failures. Public speaking anxiety is often learned behaviour. That is, at some point in the past you failed, and the seed of self-doubt was planted. But if you know your stuff and are prepared this time, there's no reason for things to go south like they did in the long ago. Not unless you insist that will happen, and believe it. Plan to succeed instead.

5) Poor or insufficient preparation. See

#4 above. If you haven't done your homework (including knowing your audience), there's no reason you should succeed. Blame nobody but yourself.

Nothing undermines public speaking

confidence like being unprepared. But nothing gives you as much confidence as being ready. Your choice.

6) Narcissism. This is the toughest love message I give to clients with stage fright.

Indulging in extreme self-consciousness while speaking is narcissistic. How can you influence others if you're totally wrapped up in yourself? You can't. So turn that bright spotlight around and

"illuminate" your listeners. You don't matter. They do.
