B. Suggestions

After analyzing and discussing the data about the types and the functions of illocutionary acts in the dialogue of the textbook "English for Nusantara" for the seventh and eighth

grades, the researcher would like to give some suggestions as considerations that are essential for the lecturers, the university students, and the other researchers as follow:

1. For Lecturer

The researcher suggests that the lecturer use the textbook "English for Nusantara" as an interesting reference for teaching and learning, especially on the material types and functions of illocutionary acts.

2. For English Teacher

They can use the results of this study as a way to understand the meaning contained in the textbook "English for Nusantara" so that teachers can more easily convey meaning to students.

3. For EFL Students

The research suggests that EFL students make this research a reference source to make it easier to study speech acts, especially illocutionary material.

4. For Further Research

The researcher suggests developing this research by examining other aspects of speech acts, such as perlocutionary and locutionary, contained in this textbook.

Besides that, future researchers can also conduct research on other pragmatic fields.
