2.DATA SOURCES AND TECHNICAL NOTES 2.1. Population dan Labour Force
1. Population are all residents of the entire geographic territory of Republic of Indonesia who have stayed for six months or longer, and those who intended to stay more than six months even though their length of stay is less than six months.
2. Population Growth Rate is the rate at which population is increasing (or decreasing) in a given year and expressed as a percentage of the year base population.
3. Sex ratio is the ratio of males in a given female population in a year, usually expressed as the number of males for every 100 females.
4. Population Density is the number of persons per square kilometer.
5. Household is an individual or a group of people living in a physical/census building unit or part if it an usually commit on a common provision for food and other essentials of living. Common provisions for food means are organizing daily needs for all of household members.
6. Household member are those use usually live in house hold regardless their location at the time of enumeration are classified as household member.
7. Average number of household is the average number of household member per household.
8. Man power defined as a group of person aged 10 year and over who are assumed have ability to work.
9. A working person defined as “Working” for pay or profit at least one hour in the previous week. Person who worked less than one hour and who did not work but had permanent jobs, or did not work because they were waiting for harvest time were also defined as working persons.

a. Data Education is colleted from related Service of National Education and Department of Religious Medan City, others are Private University.

e. Wickedness juridical mean is the action that called crime and include at the second book of KUHP.
f. Criminal is person that punish in the jail based the decision of public court. Case in this book includes the case that was brought to the court.

2.3. Agriculture
a. Production of paddy and secondary food crops is calculated by Directorate General of Food crops and central Board of Statistic.
b. Data of harvest of food crops is collected monthly at sub district level by the office of Crops. Harvest area of vegetable is limited to only those that are harvested once and only once. Yield per hectare of paddy sweet potatoes, coconut, maize, cassava and soybeans is estimated based on a crop cutting survey using parcel of land of size 2,5 m x 2,5 m. Each parcel represents 100 hectare of harvested area. The survey period is in accordance with the harvest time. Field officers of Crops Extension Services in sub district level are “Statisitcs Coordinator”.
c. Production of paddy and secondary food crops in term of : - for paddy= dry unhusked rice

- for peanuts and soybean = dry shelled.

Data for large and medium manufacturing industry is collected from an annual of manufacturing establishment by Statistical office. According to the number of employee, CBS categorizes manufacturing industry into four groups:
Household & cottage industry; a manufacturing establishment having 1-4 employees.
Small manufacturing; a manufacturing establishment having 5-19 employees.

1. The methodology for estimate the Regional Income follows the United National Guidance Book, adjusted to the Indonesian condition. There are three approaches measuring Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). They are production, income and expenditure approaches. The Production approaches are mostly used measuring GRDP.
2. Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) is the sum of total value added produced by all economic sectors (activities) in a region.
3. Net Regional Domestic Product (NRDP) is GRDP minus total depreciation of fixed capital goods utilized during one year.
4. Net Regional Domestic Product (NRDP) at factor cost is NRDP at market prices minus net indirect taxes. The net regional domestic product at factor cost assumed as net regional product or regional income, as there were no information on net factor incomes.
5. Percapita regional income is regional income divided by mid year population.
6. The statistic of regional income is divided into two forms. Those are at current market prices and constant 2000 market prices. In the presentation at constant 2000 market prices, all product aggregates are valued at fixed year price (2000).
7. Link indexes are obtained by dividing the value corresponding to a certain year by similar value in preceding year, multiplied by 100. This index show shows the growth rate of product aggregates of one year from the previous one
